Yep.  And this is no doubt being fueled by NY Giants fans/media.

Well duh... NY market just got shut out of the playoffs.

Jeez.  If I were a Giants fan, I'd be GRATEFUL to the Eagles that my horrible team heading nowhere now gets a premium draft choice instead of the dubious distinction of being the worst team in NFL history to pick as low as #19.

Sorry...if the shoe were on the other foot and THIS Eagles team would have gone to the playoffs with a Giants win in week 17...I'd be glad if the Giants tanked.

I don’t agree with the effort part nor do I care to debate it right now. Best Eagles TE in their history. Should be in Eagles HOF. Attempted to play with lacerated kidney last year.
Tip of the hat to you Mr. Ertz.

I wouldn’t question it any other year but this year there’s plenty of plays on tape where he gives poor effort on the play or he’s magically just become atrocious which i doubt.

Might be the highlight of the season.

The Eagles are trending and the entire football world is ripping them apart. This team is a national embarrassment. They threw this game and everyone knows.

Ive been following this team since 1990 which is 30 years there our others on here and around the world who followed longer and this is the most embarrassing thing I’ve every been through.😣

It's not our job to get the Giants in the playoffs. Win more than six games. We did what was smart for our organization. Steelers didn't play Big Ben today and I didn't hear any outrage. That screwed the Dolphins. Don't rely on other teams to get you in.

Eli you don't like the Eagles because you were running for your life whenever you played us...and when you weren't, you were likely losing to us regardless.

For the record, I want the NFL to investigate Evan Engram, I believe he was in tank mode when he dropped the pass that would have sealed the fate of the Eagles in that first matchup.  Clearly he could have / should have caught the ball, but tanked that play.  He never would have guessed his team would turn it around like they did to almost make the playoffs.

So, if the Giants want to blame someone for not being in the playoffs, blame him.  After all a 6 win team has no business complaining that they didn't make the playoffs.  And btw, this is why teams should always work to control their own destiny and not be reliant on others to do what they couldnt do on their own.

Boo hoo Giants.  You suck!

I don’t see how anyone can watch this game and come out of it thinking there still is a chance Doug gets fired in the next day or two

Its not the Eagles job to get the Giants into the playoffs.  They sat starters and played some backups, just like the Chiefs did this week.

"Maybe the Eagles disgraced the NFL's sportsmanlike spirit of competition. Or maybe they made a piece of modern art about how guaranteed playoff spots for division winners reflect the false promises of modern capitalism."

👍

Capitalism doesn't promise anything.   You have to earn, not hold your hand out.

Exactly.  No 6 win team should be complaining about missing the playoffs.

There were 11 starters out of the game and some of those 11 starters were already backing up other starters who have been out.

YIKES!

When the season began, Pederson was tied with Greasy Neale for the highest winning percentage in Eagles history at .594. He has since dropped to .531 and now trails Neale, Reid (.583), Rich Kotite (.563), Chip Kelly (.553), Ryan (.551) and Buck Shaw (.543).

And your point? Mine is Doug clearly called this game to lose. Going for it every 4th down instead of tying the game was evidence enough. Benching Hurts was the cherry on top. He would not have done any of that if his job was in jeopardy and this was his showcase to keep it.
