Will be watching #2. He likes to scrape but can get pushed out of the way. Easy pickings.

Spent a 7th on Ojomo. Will likely get two seasons of performance that you'd expect from a day-two pick . Let him walk and get a comp pick. $17M APY looks like the bottom of the 4th round range for the 2027 draft (from 2026 free agents).

If Trotter’s late season play wasn’t a fluke, i imagine Vic will use the rotation he did with Dean and Campbell. Campbell is Baun’s replacement…if Baun has another standout year, that might complicate some things. Weird to be talking about depth at LB after so many years of trash.

Woolen getting remotely close to the player he was 3 years ago would be amazing. It truly would be a no fly zone. Not sure you have to worry as much about S then. I’m holding my breath there though. Not a fan of the Woolen signing.

My bigger concern with Carter is his health. I kind of thought he might gamble and play this season if he was healthier and then push for a bigger deal next offseason. I think this deal will look like a potential steal if he stays healthy and plays to his potential. He's an elite player at a premium position. He's getting compensated like that level of player. The question remains whether he can play at a defensive MVP level like an Aaron Donald.

I don't think the extension was news to media members. There was, however, some discussion about his value relative to a trade. I really do not believe that the Eagles ever offered him as trade compensation in a deal for either Parsons or Garrett. His name was dropped repeatedly by NFL Insiders as a potential trade chip in a deal for Micah and Myles. Whether that represents reporters just talking out their ass or the GM's for other teams trying to get him, I don't know.

Someone always breaks out too. Hunt, Nolan, Mukuba, Ojomo… one of them is going to be dynamite this year

Great news on Carter, secured long-term and can now focus on football without the contract being a discussion.

I hope he learned and doesn't have incidents that cause flags or suspensions and his attitude matures but he's been a great player.

Another focus this year: it might be Fangio's last season and having a replacement. Is that Clint Hurtt who can learn and prepare this year?

Going to be interesting how much of the ‘gang’ they are able to keep together on the defensive side of the ball over the next few years. I think come contract time, Q is going to take the Smitty contract…a very lucrative one, but not top of the market chasing and allows freedom for Howie to work around.

Which is a bargain if he plays at a high level and remains healthy. IOL and NT/DT tend to have longer careers than the average NFL player.

I think Nick lost all control over coaching hires so there is a mandate in place. I dont think the Eagles would bring in all the talented offensive minds on a trial basis. I think they are part of a succession plan.

I thought about this as well when he was hired. Mannion didn’t feel like a stop-gap hire where they would be content with him leaving after a successful year and continuing this OC carousel they’ve had for years now. The only problem with the him replacing Nick logic is if they win 11-12 games this year, you have no basis in firing Nick. If they only win 7 or fewer games this year, that tells you the offense probably flopped. So their success and failure are tied together.

Though I was super excited about Garrett possibly. But I wouldn't have liked it if we traded for Carter

Absolutely. I'd be surprised if the majority of contracts didn't have clauses that void guarantees due to off-field behavior or any type of suspensions.

Howie won't let Q or DeJean hit free agency. Other than that, we'll see. They've finally been drafting really well on defense and have great coaching to develop guys, it's a good problem to have but you want to be able to sustain it as well.

A six-year $30.5M deal sounds so much better.

I think misconduct can void contract guarantees. I am not sure how it plays out from a cap perspective. I would imagine it just impacts future guarantees.

It voids future guarantees but it also matters how serious of a violation were talking. If they end up going to jail or something the team could go after his signing bonus
