I was just thinking over the weekend that things in DAL have been really quiet this offseason outside of the regular happenings for every team.

Camp starts Wednesday so I’m expecting something bad to happen soon.

I would love to see both Cooper and Wilson make the roster. Hollywood can find another job.

I don’t know why but I’m really struggling to get in to this upcoming season. Usually by now I’m really desperate for football to be back. I’m buzzing for the start of the season and I’m ready to go crazy for the Eagles. But I’m just not there. Maybe I will get there but like I say usually by now I’m chomping at the bit.

So a couple of things for THIS Eagles fan (since '80), this is going to sound very spoiled but our success has honestly ebbed this for me. Meaning, when we were constantly losing in the 80's and 90's the hope of success and a Super Bowl made the next season so important because of hope. Now...since 2000, we have won more than every other team except 2 or 3. We have been to 4 Super Bowls and have won two. We have been to the playoffs and won more playoff games said 1 or 2 teams.

It doesn't mean come the season I won't enjoy ever game. Doesn't mean I won't be here discussing it. But the nature of failure with a ravenous need for success has been replaced with almost constant success (to some degree) which for me, has definitely tempered everything. I thought I would honestly die before I ever saw a Super Bowl victory. Now we have two.

Now the ****ing and moaning about "Is our QB good enough", "Is our Head Coach good enough", etc....really comes off whiney, petty and quite small minded.

With players reporting to camp today, the things I’m most looking forward to…

- How does Hurts adapt to playing under center and what I assume will be a timing, progression-based offense? I don’t think it will be an easy transition.

- What exactly is Mannion’s system compared to the Shanahan’s and LaFleurs of the world?

- In terms of players, I’m most looking forward to Lemon. Can he be a legit outside receiver? Does he need to be protected in the slot or in condensed sets? He’ll get tested immediately here with Q, Riq and Coop. Does Lemon start right away or does Wicks keep him at WR3 when the season opens?

- How busy will Devonta be? The team leaked that they see Smith in a JSN-like role. Let’s see if there’s a drum beat in camp.

— No injuries. As always, this is tue most important thing about camp. How does the beat up OL look? Do Jurgens and Dickerson have their athleticism back?

I am looking forward to watching them this preseason. Cooper isn't getting much discussion because of all the offseason additions, but he did everything asked of him as a rookie and didn't make any noticeable mistakes. There's no reason why he can't take another step forward this year. Wilson looked ready for an increased role last season until the injury. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off.
