Eagles have to keep any developmental prospects they can on both lines. On OL, they are likely losing Steen. Dickerson has 1 year left...AT BEST! And Johnson is retiring. Lotta turnover there in one offseason. And Jurgens needs to rebound this season or he could be out. On the DL, you are losing Ojomo next year. And Nolan Smith the following year after that. Hunt is a keeper and have to sign, but will cost a boatload. It's imperative they keep any youth that show any inkling of a future over any jags or other roster positions that don't have anyone worthy to make a 53 (and can be easily stashed on PS like at safety and tight end). In other words, this roster should be fat on both lines, a little more than normal.Do you really think that Weru beats out AJ Epenesa or even Ramirez? If James-Newby can get to the PS (and I think he will), then it is highly likely that Weru can as well. I think Fangio, not a fan of rookies as it is, has sent a clear message on how green both are.Greenard would be a PUP not an IR. Same four week time frame and they don’t have to use one of the preseason designated to return options on him or have him on the active roster and then IR.

It gives a PS roster exemption spot but any team can poach them at any time while before they were locked in once they clear waivers. So you have to risk waivers then you have to risk at some point some bottom feeding team later in the season trying to poach talent because their season is over.Player has to agree to be signed off the PS.

Snow Mountain Ranch … western location of the YMCA of the Rockies is where we stay. Over the years we have discovered the Cowboy Inn in Baggs Wyoming as a great spot to stop for the night. They have a cozy little breakfast restaurant where we start the day. In 2025 the parking lot had six crew cab, 4WD pickups, promising a busy breakfast. When we came in the door the large circular table had 8 Sam Elliot clones gathered around it. A perfect example of a cowboy (or in this case cattle rancher) convocation. We ordered our breakfast and midway through eating it the convocation broke up with all 8 Sams rising at once, chairs scraping on the floor. It was like a scene in the Yellowstone prequel 1883.

August 20Aug 20 Well if anyone had any doubt about AJ completely mailing it in last year, he made it even more obvious today. That dude hasn’t moved like that since 2022.
August 20Aug 20 5 hours ago, Iggles_Phan said:That's only partly true. Mailata FINISHED the year on IR. As a rookie, he was sent to IR Dec. 14. He went to IR in year 2 in September.Which is also no coincidence. You get essentially extended unrestricted finishing school leading to complete control over IR with a hangnail and the ability to then open up the roster spot when needed.
August 20Aug 20 There's another angle here to the International guys: the Eagles want to continue to establish themselves as the place to go for high end international prospects. Similar to how the Dodgers have a chokehold on every Japanese prospect that makes the jump to the US now. Obviously it's different with a salary cap, but still I imagine they'll try their best to act in good faith with guys like Uar so they can continue to attract freak athletes to develop.

Love the fossils there. Coprolites on the wall in the bathrooms was a must see for me. The paleontologist ranger told me the elks seem to have figured out hunters can’t get them on the monument land and spend the fall there. It’s part of a large ancient lake. Geologically it’s kind of young.Coprolite is the ultimate insult word. (Fossilized 💩)

This year our trip home was through Monument Valley, Goodenecks SP, Valley of the Gods, Natural Bridge NP, Utah Routes 95 and 12, Goblin Valley, Bentonite Hills, Factory Butte, Moonscape Overlook, Burr Trail, Hell’s Backbone Groll, and Kiva Koffeehouse. Last year we went home via the Palouse in Eastern Washington. That would have been a great time to take in Fossil Butte. Maybe next year.

Because of Mailata, we also tend to over value developmental possibilities.I agree to an extent, but there are also a good number of teams who are going to view the bottom of their depth chart as a JAG, and if they think it’s an easily replaceable player and they’re heading into the season healthy, they might view the opportunity to add a high upside prospect as a good decision. It only takes one team, after all.I wouldn’t risk it. If you think these guys have legitimate plus starter upside — which is really the only reason to even bother bringing them in to begin with — then you have to commit to the project.

August 20Aug 20 Anyone notice? The OFFENSE DOSN'T WORK. Brian Johnson. Kevin Patullo. And now Sean Mannion. All within the last 5 years, basically. NONE ever called plays in the NFL. ALL of their offenses didn't work in the NFL. One definition of insanity is is this: "You do the same thing over and over, and expect different results." Nuff said.
