I think that's a reasonable take. I wasn't overjoyed with his performance last year either. To be honest, I felt the same way about Mukuba (small, gets bounced around a lot, is inconsistent in his tackling, and seems vulnerable at times in deep coverage).

I still think both have NFL starting ability and I expect them to be decent starters. But I'm not sure I'm seeing greatness out of either one. Like you, I hope to be wrong.

Yeah, even with the young guys playing well I wouldn't mind Howie making a trade for a guard. That, TE, and S are my only real concerns.

If they stay healthy and the offense clicks after a few weeks why not? The Giants may take a step up, but DC and the Cowboys don't concern me if that happens. I'm optimistic and not because I'm a fan. Carter, Davis, and Hunt are going to be a handful for any team they face. If they take their time with Greenard and he comes back healthy and has a few weeks to get in game shape that's another problem. Their LBs are talented and deep and they have three really good DBs. Toss in SB having a good year if the OL is healthy and they match up with anyone. I said it earlier today, but that defense absolutely has the ability to be more talented than the SB team two years ago.

Becton is still available and he had a crap year in 2025, but he's as good as anyone you'll get on the trade market.

i was being a bit sarcastic because of how early it is, but they are at the very least, a contender if healthy. i dont see any reason to think differently unless there are some significant injuries again.

I’m comfortable with Safety … possibly more than comfortable. DeJean and Mukuba as a tandem is hard to improve upon.
