When we played the Cowboys on Thanksgiving last time, I decided to walk home from my sister's house (she lives up the street) where the entire family was having their big dinner and football viewing party. I absolutely despise watching important football games (translation: Eagles playing) with a crowd of people, some of whom barely know the rules and could only name a handful of Eagles players. Not to mention one of my brother-in-law's nephews who's a big Cowboys fan. I'd rather watch at home, alone...or with my father who basically is of the same mind as me and would probably want to accompany me.

I plan on doing the same this year.

I think the entire schedule is released on Thursday

Patriots schedule already fully leaked. This happens every year; I think ours popped up a day early last year

I’m much the same way.

Dude, it's like we share the same brain.

2017 Super Bowl, a friend of mine with an absolutely baller penthouse apartment in Manhattan threw the party of a lifetime. I skipped it. watched the entire Super Bowl with only my fiancee, and could not have been happier.

I wonder how that happened.

Is it June 1st yet?

Sucks

Best Eagles WR & TE groups we've had in years. Exciting 2026-27 season coming for Hurts. Weapons everywhere. And dont forget about 1-2 punch of Barkley & Tank. Offense poised for a major rebound. Probably top 10 before it's over.

Can everyone do a stat prediction for Hurts/Smith/Wicks/Lemon/Goedert/Stowers?

My stat prediction is that >95% of the blog predictions will be significant over what actually happens.

I will watch games with my son. My wife tends to watch in another room, partly because I think the refs can hear me but mainly because I tend to watch with the TV muted. I really can’t stomach most of the announcers that think ever second must be filled with their drivel. (My wife enjoys football but not at the level my son and I watch it. (We went to her younger brother’s HS games when we were dating. He went to a Catholic HS. She still brings up me shouting at the refs if they were blind on a blatant hold/tackle. She said "ssh the nuns are right next to you.” I replied "I am sure they agree” and the sister next to me nodded her head.

When watching a game at home, the only member of the family allowed to enter and exit at will is the dog. Otherwise, complete isolation. My wife knows better than to come into the theater during a game.

I HATE watching games in public places. Had to for the GB game last year as I was stuck in Denver for work and went to a sports bar.

My prediction is that the AJ Brown Huggers and Jalen Hurts Haters will look pretty stupid by the end of the year. Not a numbers nerd. But team will look much more competent on offense and not dysfunctional and disorganized. Night and day from last year. Feel good with that one. Bonus: Here's a specific prediction. Cole Payton will have a package in this offense similar to Taysom Hill. This will be Sirianni's new toy and Tush Push alternative. The overall predictability of this offense will be much changed. All weapons will be deployed and players will fit into their assumed roles comfortably. It will be so refreshing not having to constantly appease the petulant Diva.

You should probably add in McKee so you can get @HazletonEagle to participate.

My predictions are

Player Targets Rec Yards

Smith 140 95 1350

Wicks 60 40 450

Lemon 85 60 700

Goedert 75 60 600

Stowers 50 35 400

' Att Completions Yds TDs Ints

Hurts - 510 341 3900 29 9

The guy really thinks he was the main character here.

I generally agree. Yet...I watched SB LII at the Eagles bar in Boston with two of my kids.

The outcome, the location, and the companionship will never be matched.

Disgraceful is purposefully making the team worse to save money. Only a POS of an owner trades away a young talent because they are cheap.

Blame the GM for that. He traded a player his HC was hardly using anymore.

Meanwhile it's laughable how everyone acts like the Sixers traded away Michael Jordan. McCain wouldn't have moved the needle at all in that Knicks series. They are a far better team.

He had more points in one game than the entite 76ers bench with Embiid out
