May 12May 12 Bottom line is McLain could be a pretty good player with Thunder and can play to his strengths as he would be a 7th or 8th option there. As well, they can hide him on the defensive end there. Don't think there's many minutes here with Edgecombe and Maxey and would get exploited defensively on this roster in a playoff series. Knicks guards and swing guys would have abused him. He's pretty slow on rotations and was getting snuffed going to the hole here and missing bunnies like Grimes. My problem is they didn't add at the deadline and really go for it, more than this actual trade. If they had showed something else at the deadline besides this, helping the roster today, Morey could have saved face. Think he should be canned and it is long overdue. Three 2nds and a 1st rounder for a 17 minute a night player who is a black hole on defense is a good deal. Need to go use those assets now for big men who can defend and are athletic.

He will get better.

On top of that, has had the injury bug. He was not athletic before the injury. There was legitimate concern there, that it had been over a year and he was still looking pretty slow and lacking any explosiveness or jump. Can't blame Morey on that specific deal. At best, this guy is a 6th man going forward. He's not even Isaiah Joe status yet. I don't see him getting substantially better. Sixers are looking for a higher ceiling in their next quest with that 22nd pick and hopefully for any bigger guys that are 6'7 or above. Team is too small, and gets manhandled on the defensive boards, with or without Embiid. The backcourt is set. Can find bench guys to play 15 minutes a game to round that unit out pretty routinely. In any year, there are vet guys like Shamet, Trent, etc. playing for vet minimums. And no Grimes for sure going forward.

McCain doesn't change that. They played terrible enough defense as it was in this series and he would have just added to that. Plus, Nick Nurse wasn't play him during the regular season you think he was then going to suddenly start giving McCain plentiful playoff minutes?
May 12May 12 Sixers season is over. It’s barely tolerable when they are playing. No need to discuss them here anymore

I’ve never felt my age, though and I’ve been lucky to have good health. I’ve had minor health issues but never anything major. My oldest sister never made it to 60 and my oldest brother is in assisted living with early onset dementia, so I am more aware now there are no guarantees.I’m just taking life as it comes
