We’re not winning the NFC East. We’re not winning a Super Bowl. We’re not going anywhere this year. So to me, I want to evaluate as many players as I can. unfortunately for McKee it’s highly unlikely he’s back next year. At least with Milton if he shows you something when you’re evaluating him and he gets better over the course of the season, you could bring him back as a backup.Except Milton sucks

A solid defense (7th), a decent running game (15th), and a decent passing game (17th). Control the clock, run the ball, convert on 3rd down, and don't turn the ball over...that's John Harbaugh's way. The fact that they are middle of the pack on rushing and passing tells the story, they are very balanced and frustrate defenses. Harbaugh just needs JJM to run the offense and protect the ball, trust his OC...JJM could end up creating a market for himself, I mean Flacco wasn't supposed to be a star SB MVP. He got his first start because two other QBs were injured. Don't sleep on the Giants.DAL has a chance to win the division, a small chance. They will have to win one of these games: SF, SEA(road), or LAR(road), I don't see that happening. Maybe I am wrong. DAL is the team you shouldn't trust, they have shown already they aren't focused, coaching decisions are questionable to say the least, and they lost to a winless team with a UDFA rookie QB in his first start...at home! He freaking torched them.DAL D is horrible, they gave up 21 to an offense decimated by injury, an offense that was so decimated they were setting records. Had it not been for a few errant throws last night PHI scores 28 - 31 points. If I were a gambler and had to bet on who wins the NFCE, my money is on the NYG, I am a DAL fan but I don't throw money away. That's why I go out on the limb and not follow the sheep. On paper, Giants should win right now. But am projecting ahead and what I see potentially happening. It's called vision. Cowboys got some confidence and swag back. Thanks to our Eagles. They could outscore a lot of opponents for wins and just get a a little bit better on defense with familiarity of new scheme they are still figuring out. Reasonable idea. BTW, Giants are 18th in points per game allowed. If Skattebo doesn't make the season with the beating he takes, I won't be surprised.
October 27Oct 27 Joe Milton does suck, I don't believe there's any upside there. Not sure why people are intrigued by him. If they should evaluate anyone it's Payton. But Milton would be a good tank commander because the only thing he has is a strong arm, he blows at everything else. So play him or Payton vs the Colts and Cardinals.

The Giants seem to come out of nowhere every so often, even with Dart out, Skattebo (as much as I dislike him) is a spark plug for that team. Just a gut feeling they are going to take the division and make a stupid run in the playoffs. I hope I am wrong.
October 27Oct 27 They are giving Mannion 2+ years for this offense. This was the healthiest the offense has been since week 1 and they put together some nice drives. This was also the 1st time the "starters for the rest of the season" OL was together. We saw them score quickly with 75 yards in 4 plays and a nice methodical TD drive going 84 yards in 17 plays in the 2nd half. We saw the screen game work, we saw quick passes under center, we saw nice route running, and 3/3 in the red zone. Yes, its a low bar but its the floor I think we should have been seeing all season. I think the injuries to the OL effectively killed the offense's ability to do anything.I think the season is effectively over, but it would be nice to see Mannion continue to develop the offense and show the FO what they need for next season. Hurts is here next year. He either balls out in a big contract year in an offense he has a better grasp on, or he doesn't and they have a clean slate with everyone.

On top of that behind that offensive line and down to your potential 5-6th running back. I’m not sure you want him out there when he’s not ready, lack of consistent running game, get hit a ton and kill his confidence that he has and potentially stunt his development. If that happens to Milton, I’m not so worried about it.

Likewise, Wicks is just meh. Better than expected. But not someone you feel good about as a #2.IMO, that’s a box checking mentality. The team needs to get building blocks that are the reason they win games. It’s not time to check boxes uniformly across the roster for a 3-4 win team.Whole heartedly disagree. Idk how it can be argued, he's been the #2 option for the last however many years and always produced when AJ was out. You're counting him out because he had the misfortune of playing with a QB who utilizes one receiver at a time.Drafting an edge is not a check in the box, it's an absolute gaping hole and is 100% a building block position. If there's a top 5 rated edge, they're drafting that over a WR every single time. If they don't, now you have to pray they hit on a stud edge outside of the 1st round because they have literally nothing at the position outside of Hunt, who's just fine. You don't build teams around receivers. QB, OL, and DL are foundational positions and once those are built then you start drafting your "check in the box" positions.

Tampa with an UDFA rookie Qb moved the ball the same way and had a bad OL too. I’m really more curious to see how they build off of this game against the commanders and the Giants. The commanders defense is not very good. But they’re still better than in Dallas. the Giants also are not great defensively but they are worlds better than what Dallas is. So I’m curious to see if they build off with what they did this week and if they progress and can improvement. If the offense regresses over the next two weeks, I think you got your answered that this was more about Dallas’s defense being really bad and the offense actually making strides.
October 27Oct 27 Chiefs need a WR bad. Hate to say it. But I am listening. New contract with Smith is going to be one one that you pay for past performance. And new extension starts when he's 30 I believe. I am leery my friends. Leery! I am gonna go on no emotion when making decisions and have to get premium picks back in Howie's hands. And say what does this cloudy timeline realistically look like? Howie has to learn from his mistakes in handing money over like candy. I am cautious with every move here. I have 1 guaranteed move right now. Q. That is it. Show me the offers!!

He’s gonna be 30 when that contract extension starts. I kinda think this goes back to where the Eagles see themselves by 2028. If the Eagles do not believe they can get themselves back to being a contender by then, I could see the Eagles moving him. I don’t think it’s gonna happen at this trade deadline. he’s not healthy. So you’re gonna be selling him at a low and I’m not sure if teams are gonna give you what you want at the moment with him dealing with the hamstring injury whole year. I think it would be more of an off-season move. That said I don’t think it’s very likely but I also wouldn’t completely rule it out depending on where the Eagles envision themselves by 2028
October 27Oct 27 Unless Hurts career is over, I dont want to see a pick that isn't on the lines on both sides until the 4th round. Recent drafts, they have lost their way

If you get a desperate team giving you 2 high picks for him. I'm all ears. Howie has left himself in a corner with handing big contracts out at this point. And needs to put good money not on past performance or older players. And project for this next era. I came to grips with this 2 weeks ago. New era here. Give me a Tyreek-like trade. Maybe 2 highs and 2 lows. A little less.

October 27Oct 27 4 minutes ago, ToastJenkins said:Mckee nets a comp pickRather see the draft pick from ndsu play. Milton is a total bustYeah, on what planet is Tanner McKee getting us a comp pick? If anything is gonna signing for a minimal contract as a back up. And he’s probably not gonna be the first or second wave of free agency. Furthermore, let’s just say he got you a six or seven round comp pick, you think the Eagles aren’t gonna sign anybody this off-season that cancels that out? They just scored 21 points against a horrible Dallas defense and was the fewest points Dallas has given up all year. I’m guessing his market ain’t gonna be so robust.I’d also point out Milton is a restricted free agent at the end of the year, so he could also get you a pick. If we’re playing the game of, we could get a pick. Somebody could sign him as a restricted free agent when you get a pick if he shows any competence. Also, I don’t wanna put a rookie quarterback out there when he’s not ready. Behind an offensive line that’s not very good. With a running back room that might be down to their #6 back. And down their starting 2 wide receivers. Yeah I’m not gonna ask a rookie to go into that so can potentially stunt his development. I’d also point out, he was the 3rd string quarterback last night. So he wasn’t even the backup and the guy who’s been here for two weeks and sucks jumped him. So that tells me the Eagles do not remotely believe Payton is close enough to being able to start at Qb in a NFL game.
October 27Oct 27 Cole Payton should obv be playing at this point. Only 13 college starts despite 5 yrs at NDSU. Checks most of the physical boxes, seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. Give him the reps, not just in the games but in practice. See if the tools translate and get better week over week. If Howie does his job right over the offseason, we won’t have the opportunity to give real game/inseason practice reps to developmental guys like this for a while. Also makes the tank exciting because Payton seems to play like an absolute psycho.
