EMB Blog: 2026 Regular Season (Part 1)

Featured Replies

This is what I want to see from the rest of the year.

IR everyone who has anything wrong. I don't care if it's a hang nail. Put them on IR with no designation to return. Get the back ups some reps and see what we have.

On offense, run with McKee and give Mannion the rest of the season to audition and see if he can make something of this. Scoring 21 against the worst defense in the league is not impressing me. Throw in Milton some if you want. I'm more interested in if Mannion can figure it out.

Fire Siri when it's convenient. Things change, I'd say let him ride it out for the rest of the year but if he's turned toxic then jettison him mid-season. Overly competitive people are usually fine when things are great but they can turn very toxic when things are going bad and they don't have answers. They will turn on anyone and everyone.

Stop grading our current talent. Everyone knows we're tanking, even the players. Grade the offense but everyone else should get a pass cause they are doing their part to tank.

For a backup QB, he was decent/good last night. Bad misses on the drive to end the half. Pick ended the game, was a good play by Overshown.

He’s way down the list of issues last night. That’s why no one is talking about him. He was fine.

Yes. But he was pumped to be more than that by a few here. I know he is decent. Stated that. Ironically, the defense is a huge issue.

Where is the Tanner Brady love today? Best QB and Hurts replacement since Carson Strong. Someone is silent. I'm busting his balls right now. Hijacked the thread with a lot of misinformation regarding their prowesses. Again, always thought he's a decent QB2 in the right system and scenario. Hard to have a sculpture in today's game unless you have a top offensive line. But I haven't seen the arm talent or accuracy either.

His fundamentals have regressed quite a bit; perhaps his repeatable accuracy is tied to being stationary in pocket and from shotgun - in any case, given his skillset Tanner obviously doesn't have a lot of room for error. He's got to be consistent with his throws, as the big plays via escapability obviously aren't coming. He'll likely improve as he gets more reps but he can't be throwing behind and at feet of his receivers.

Yeah, he sure can act like a clown just before it falls apart...again

There's a lot to dislike and/or hate about the guy but the offense has struggled all season and finally put up points in week 7. Calling him a clown for being excited about a TD in the first quarter seems out of place

Tbh I’d give McKee til the bye unless see big improvements over the next couple games. then I’d probably go Milton. The reason why I say that, I wanna see what Milton is. Can he be a back up here long-term. I already know what Tanner McKee is and what Tanner McKee isn’t. We’re not getting a comp pick for him so if the offense regresses or looks the same , I’d rather see what Milton can do to get an evaluation on him. See what he has and what he doesn’t. You’re not winning anything anyways. So this is just an evaluation period. Give the guy enough games where you can evaluate him.

Congrats on scoring a TD vs a 2-4 team with a bad defense. Automatically go right into the same clown reaction from the game last year before everything fell apart and they lost....just like last night.

Was that his 3rd start in the NFL?

Its almost as though if he continues starting over the next 10 weeks, gets back some starting WRs, and the OL realizes some sense of continuity things might actually improve quite a bit.

His stat line last night was already equivalent to the majority of Hurts performances. And its only likely to go up from here for McKee.

And yet, lets all take note that the so called troll has been silent since the game ended (that would be me), while the real trolls have already tagged me in a post, and now called for me to post more about it again. These guys cant stop trolling.

On the first touchdown 6 minutes into the game for a 2-4 team taking the lead against another 2-4 team?

why not? get the guys fired up. too bad it didn't light a fire under the defense 😅

He didn't know the team would fall apart though. Would you feel the same way if we scored that TD and then blew out Dallas by double digits?

Seinfeld gif. Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine and Jerry simultaneously shrug their shoulders.

His reaction isn't a big deal to me

Mediocre. But for them to put Dalton in front of him. Ever. Was one big joke for this season. Just a small microcosm of the dysfunctionality of it all. Top to bottom.

I agree with this and I’ll add a reason. Assuming Jalen is healthy and back in 2027, Milton makes more sense as a backup QB where the game plan doesn’t have to wildly change. I prefer mobile backups because they can come off the bench and make plays with their legs, so the lack of reps during the week is less impactful.

I said it on here the moment I saw it last night. Same crap from last year and I knew they were screwed. Hypotheticals don't matter when history repeats itself. You like clowns. That's fine.

With a mostly preseason roster, Hurts kept us in games and won them in the end. Or seemingly, like the Jags game. To put McKee and Hurts in the same sentence is blasphemy and stupidity. Can't even acknowledge any football opinion after that. Clutch gene! Like the owner has stated repeatedly and eloquently.

It's not Nick's fault, he just trying to give Howie/Lurie the McVay experience they want. 😂

McVay does that every week. People seriously need to observe more.

I would add into this, it gives you enough time since acquiring him and you have the by week to really sit down and install stuff that is tailored to his game. And you’ve given Tanner enough time to have some tape so that when he goes in the free agency, he can show it to teams and they can make an assessment on him. Right now we have 53 passes in Milton’s career. Like you said, I would like to see if he could be the backup next year. And he fits more with what you want out of the backup if your starter is going to be Jalen hurts.

By the way, is there any question after last night that McKee should have always been left alone as the QB2 for this team instead of continually trading for worse QBs and putting them ahead of him on the depth chart?

That, I think we as eagles fans will never, ever be able to figure out.

He looked like a good QB2 last night.

Keep in mind the QB3 basically gets no reps in practice throughout the year. McKee has repeatedly been buried at 3 on the depth chart mostly unable to meaningfully practice, ever. He could likely be so much further along in development. The eagles had his career on life support for seemingly no reason at all. Good for him for persevering and still looking like an excellent backup. And bouncing back from his week 18 performance last year.

Im on board. Milton is so intriguing.

Because we're 2-4 and it's a first qtr TD at home against a bottom 3 defense, not a game winning drive against the Seahawks in Seattle. It's like a WR talking trash after making a first down catch when his team is down 3 scores in the 4th qtr.

The Andy Dalton "experience” will never make any sense.

I don't know why you get defensive and act that way. I was just questioning why you're calling him a clown for being excited about his offense finally scoring a TD

I'd be against trading Baun. I think he can still give you another 1-2 seasons of very good play, but it has more to do with who is behind him. Campbell has been a trainwreck so far and Trotter is still growing into his own. There is no one else outside of Baun, and getting rid of him puts them right back to linebacker being a significant weakness that you have to address.

But McVay does it all the time on non game winning drives. Other coaches do as well... I just don't see an issue with it and it's not that serious.

Then he's a clown too. But the track record is not the same, unless McVay has had numerous altercations with opposing fans and players, or even his own fans and players.
