September 22Sep 22 Case Keenum had a really good first drive in the 2017 nfc championship game before going down 38-7 😂

Was looking at Lemon a lot on different TV replays and could see he was quite open. Yes. And dump the bubble screens. A waste!
September 22Sep 22 I don’t trust these numbers at all but I do think pass protection has been less of a disaster then run blocking
September 22Sep 22 Off topic, but our merry band of immature potty humor trolls may enjoy:Two weeks ago, the Hollister HS football team in CA forfeited a game just hours before their game. The coach was placed on administrative leave and replaced with an interim coach. Yesterday it was announced by the district that the rest of Hollister's games will be cancelled for the remainder of the season citing an inadequate number of players to safely field a team. The superintendent has conceded that the ongoing investigation has to do with inappropriate team activities. Although it is still a local mystery, word is getting out. The players apparently participated in a "cookie run". It sounds like there is some tradition behind it, but the twist is that when the cookie drops, the player is required to exchange his cookie with another player and eat the other player's cookie. I will leave the rest to all the internet investigators in here...

September 22Sep 22 Just now, RememberTheKoy said:When the offseason began, the Eagles biggest storyline was who would become their new OC and their top reported targets were supposedly Mike McDaniel and Brian Daboll. Both ultimately took jobs elsewhere, and rival fans quickly used that as an indictment of Jalen Hurts, claiming those coaches wanted "better” QBs. Well two weeks in, how are those decisions looking? Jalen Hurts (2-0)467 passing yards 5 TD / 2 INT 10th in ESPN QBR Cam Ward (0-2) 323 passing yards 1 TD / 0 INT 25th in ESPN QBR Justin Herbert (0-2) 401 passing yards 2 TD / 3 INT 31st in ESPN QBR It’s obviously too early to draw any real conclusions but through two weeks, it sure looks like the Eagles may have ended up just fine with their OC hire and maybe McDaniel/Daboll might end up regretting passing on the opportunity to pair with a Super Bowl MVP in Jalen Hurts.
September 22Sep 22 You know what's really pissing me off? We have good blocking WRs. Cooper and Wicks are way above average. We basically replaced Calcaterra with Mundt, who is a high end blocking TE. Barkley is healthy and Bigsby has a full off-season in the system. And we moved to a system that theoretically puts Hurts under center which should help the run game significantly. And yet our OL is swiss cheese now. I really hope they can get it together. If they establish the run this offense could be special. BIG "if" unfortunately.

But they get no push in the run game like Steen is the perfect example of what our OL has become

September 23Sep 23 I'm not really worried about the offense against the Bears defense. More intrigued at it's potential growth, even with the likelihood of having a couple players out.I am worried though about the defense against the Bears defense. More specifically the run defense. They shredded us on the ground last year in Philadelphia. It was by far the worst the defense has looked during the Fangio era. The run defense is certainly looking like it is legitimately bad two games into this season. Even with Keenum I can see a scenario where the Bears have 200+ yards of rushing again.

September 23Sep 23 What's the point of posting in the blog if we have total faith in the Eagles' flawless decision making? If the Eagles had 21 pro-bowlers and an average-to-problematic safety as their 22nd starter, I'd be here to post about how they could and should get more out of that position. Wouldn't make me enjoy the team any less. I enjoy dissecting problems. Me posting about it seems to make you guys enjoy the team less though.

That’s just my preference.
