Some decent stuff here. Wish they would target him beyond the line of scrimmage more, which I’m sure we’ll see as the year progresses.

Howie seems to have a tendency of not communicating with Vic when brining in players. I don't care how good Howie is that's a flaw that needs to be corrected.

I think Vic is trolling. Has he ever said that he DID communicate with Howie?

Vic is like Buddy Ryan. He might call a newbie, Junior Smith.

The OL still has hope.

Is this wins as an entire line or a sum of each individual player's win rate?

If the latter, it shows what coaches and players talk about often. Every player has to make their block for a run play to succeed. One miss generally blows the play up.

I’m on the phone with a league source and a coach will get fired before the 2027 season starts. A player or two will also be traded. I’ll circle back but remember, you heard it here first.

If the latter, it shows what coaches and players talk about often. Every player has to make their block for a run play to succeed. One miss generally blows the play up.

How Pass Block Win Rate Works:

It measures the rate at which individual offensive linemen or entire units can successfully sustain their blocks for 2.5 seconds or longer. It relies on player-tracking data derived from NFL Next Gen Stats to evaluate head-to-head interactions in the trenches.

The 2.5-Second Threshold: If a blocker prevents the defender from beating the block within 2.5 seconds of the snap, it counts as a pass-blocking win. If the rusher wins sooner, it counts against the blocker.

Calculation: A team's pass block win rate is the percentage of pass-blocking attempts in which the unit successfully achieves a block win over that 2.5-second duration.

How Run Block Rate Works:

A defensive player earns a run stop win (resulting in a loss for the blocker) by meeting any of these criteria: Beating the block: Gaining better positioning to make a play on the runner. Disrupting the lane: Pushing the blocker backward to collapse the running lane. Containing the runner: Forcing the ball carrier to adjust or change their intended running path. Making a tackle: Registering a tackle within 3 yards of the line of scrimmage.

He seems to say it often when it comes to people in the secondary.

Some talk about the Cardinals maybe trading Harrison Jr this year. What is the most you'd give up for him?

He was a stud in college but I gotta admit he's looked pretty bad in the NFL. Not just lack of explosiveness but looks like a total loser. Quitting on plays, etc. I don't think I'd be interested. I'd be more interested in a guy like Brian Thomas Jr than him if Howie looks to continue to bolster that WR room with young talent.

Nothing.

Maybe a fifth at the most. I saw a video yesterday where they basically S on him. theyre going nowhere and they're gonna have a top 3 pick next year. I wouldnt want to play for that team either. sometimes you need a change of scenery

It's mostly due to his meniscus from what I read. He's getting it repaired rather than trimmed, which is smart given his age and the team he's on

Wearing the Phillies hat, he must’ve been real proud of the offense. First time in over a week they had back to back games with more than 3 runs.

Not surprised by the pass blocking, as I doubt that's changed much from last year. Given the results, it seems like when we lose at run blocking we must lose really bad.

She is getting eviscerated in the replies…it’s hilarious.

You can tell Kenny Moore is a Nick-Howie pickup. I’d be surprised if he’s playing soon if at all

Figured it wasn't the ACL, they can accurately test for them with stability tests. Figured it was either grade 3 MCL or meniscus. Looks like he'll get the meniscus repair surgery which avoids trim but has several months recovery.

I would guess that he talks to him if there is a choice between several players.

I think the RB play needs improvement. Barkley is not necessarily grinding out yards. On the other hand, Tank gets yards that aren't there more often. Part of this is solved with just more Tank in the game and going with more of a 2 RB rotation.

I guess. It's not like I expect Howie to check with him on every player, but when adding a guy who's never played a position it might make sense to ask his opinion on how he'd fit in his defense.

If it plays out that he's out for most of the season, how much interest will the Giants have in Arch Manning?

So basically everything but his acl and LCL

The NY Giants were fool's gold built on a foundation of sand, with 3 injury prone players in Nabors, Skateboo and Dart. Never was worried with them. On that awful turf as well...
