September 24Sep 24 I believe most of these guys will play. Devonta I believe will play, he finished the game so I’m guessing it’s minor.

Their ability to force a split with the Eagles is the only thing standing between the Eagles, as they sit in September, and a near certain 6-0 in the division.

They took Watts. We ended up with Ty Robinson, who has looked pretty scrubby since he's been here.Hate to bring this up but the Eagles could have had Delonte Walker who has been playing very well at DT for Buffalo. Two picks later the Eagles picked Ty Robinson. I Believe the Eagles had a pick swap with Denver and lost out on Walker.

Mundt lines up at RE.The ball should be out here but it's not. The defense has time to react. Both blockers have made contact but the receiver is just gathering the ball.No gain. What is interesting to me is that the Eagles ran this same action several times but the ball went to the opposite side of the field, including a big play to Wicks. So, this play set up others. It shows some sophistication in Mannion's play calling.JT O'Sullivan broke down this play and I think he was correct that Hurts was actually early here, not late. JT thought he should have pulled the defense away from that screen by looking off the other routes first. But I think Hurts saw that twist in front of him and lost faith in the OL, so he bailed early and got it out of his hands

He said the receiver here should have been the third hitch, not the first. He also said this was as fast as he (hurts) could do it but that’s not true. Hurts turned and bounced before he threw. Forgetting anything he or I have said, the defenders had plenty of time to close on the receiver and that’s not good. Finally, I don’t see that twist. It looked to me that both DTs got stoned and more or less collided.Of course, I could be totally wrong on all counts.

September 25Sep 25 The tailgate situation at the Linc is the right call. Those parking lots have been a disaster for years because you have RVs coming in to setup and taking up 10 spots from people who pay to park in those lots. I know a lot of people are complaining but something had to be done.
September 25Sep 25 Shame Robinson plays for the Falcons. He'll make a good replacement for Barkley in a few years.
September 25Sep 25 This is Week 2 2024 Falcons @ Eagles MNF all over again. This is the time of the season when the Falcons really shine, in prime time in week 2.

September 25Sep 25 Well, Atlanta finally got their first snaps of the season in the redzone. Maybe we can finally pick up a 1st down on 1st down on Monday.
September 25Sep 25 They really need to make roughing the passer a call you can challenge. They are game-changing penalties and I didn’t think that was roughing. He hit him in the upper chest not the head.

To me, O'Sullivan's explanation made sense because if Hurts immediately goes to that screen it really doesnt put the defenders in any sort of conflict, they read and react. If Hurts looks to the left first, then those defenders on the right are in a real bind--fighting their natural instincts to follow the routes in front of them and Hurts' eyes and drift away from the screen. Fun to think about either way and something to watch for. Great job pointing out how they went back to that look later

Always thought about how awesome it would be to aee him play for the Eagles but never thought it possible with us with McNabb and at the time the 4 straight nfc champship game run and Vick really lighting it up himself in Atlanta. What an incredible experience for him to actually end up playing for the Eagles and having his best year and one of the most magical Eagles seasons that ended far too soon.
September 25Sep 25 Atlanta just threw the lazy quick WR screen that has been a staple of the Sirianni era. Hate these non-inventive screen plays. I miss the well designed screen plays of the Reid era that helped make Westbrook one of the most dangerous players in the entire league. Give me Barkley in some 00s era Reid style RB screens with three lineman out front ready to unleash Barkley into the next level of the defense.
