Someone definitely got in his ear after how he used to play and convinced him longevity > running head first into a broken shoulder

After seeing 2 NFCE QBs go out for the season in one weekend, it’s understandable. He converted by passing the ball, which is what we want and what he’ll need to do as he leaves his rQB prime.

I also thought TEN should have been penalized for a couple of those hits during slides

He was sliding early, so yeah, no need for that chippiness. And I’ll say, if he’s going to slide, do it early - as I’ve seen too many times where the QB gets wrecked anyway or bops the back of his head off the turf… to the point where I think it’s safer to put your shoulder down and try to deflect the strike rather than absorb it.

Absolutely agree and agree that Howie's roster construction since the end of camp has not been good. The team has lost young talent (we'll see how their careers pan out) and gotten older with Ertz and Moore. They could have easily kept Gush, Williams and Latu. I look at the Rams poaching Pulley as payback for Lampkin.

In concept I agree with you, and Howie has been very good in past seasons in building the foundation for long-term excellence by getting the team to be younger. However, both leadership and perspective both often come only after some experience is amassed. As is often said, youth is wasted on the young. In absolute athletic resilience the losses of Gush and Pulley are indeed losses, and if we were/are looking only at the long-term, having them instead of Ertz and Dalton is a no brainer. But the long-term isn’t the only criteria. We are lucky enough to have the opportunity with this team to be greedy, and realistically aspire to a third Super Bowl win.

Gush and Pulley would increase the athletic resilience, but contribute very little of the perspective and leadership and experience that a Super Bowl quest often benefits from. So, Howie has weighed the tradeoffs and made his decisions.

When I look at the Offseason additions to the team, starting with Wicks and Woolen’s immediate impact, I can’t help but feel that the losses of Gush and Pulley have been nibbling around the edges of a nicely baked cookie.

He is moving better this year after dropping some weight

But have we seen a designed qb draw yet? I cant recall one

I can’t either … or an RPO where he chooses to run himself rather than choosing another ball carrier or passing to a receiver.

I was idling through the all-22 and I kept noticing Mundt. He had a helluva game. I'll try to put something together. He did a lot of different things including fullback.

If the intention is move away from shotgun RPO and towards more straight handoff with a bootleg counter, then you might want to start selling the tendency that Jalen is a non-runner.

We haven’t really got to the corner yet on the OZ, is Mundt setting a hard edge but the RB is forced to turn it up early due to OL mistakes or the defense overloading the gaps?

Eagles D get their first TO's

A side note: I see the Eagles switching their philosophy until the OL problems settle. They are are going to pass to set up the run...we will see how that goes...but they need to improve their early down efficiency

Hurts hasn't looked faster or quicker in his runs to me. Though the only one that stands out in memory was when he slid and was still hit with no flag. Bit of Cam treatment

Holy moly, according to this Jared Wilson is not getting it done for Pats (5% win rate!) - will they call us for Willie Lampkin🤣

I think there are parallels to the shift in offensive philosophy here to what the Chiefs are doing. Nagy's offense absolutely force-fed Rashee Rice the ball. It kinda worked because Rice and Mahomes are really good. But with Nagy out they're spreading the ball out. Rice is getting way fewer targets, and Worthy/Thornton are getting more. And even though they're lesser receivers, the offense as a whole looks MUCH better. They're extremely efficient in the RZ because of the sheer number of looks they have on each play.

If we can establish some kind of run game I think this offense could be deadly.

So Keenum has been taking all the snaps for the Bears. I honestly didn't even think he was in the league anymore, lol. He hasn't started a game in over 3 years. This is wild. Eagles playing Keenum, Zach Ertz is back and Carson is on the Vikings, lol.

I think there's a very good chance Williams starts.

BONUS: Maki Lemon has a reception of three yards or less.

This is the game where we go heavy 5 man DL which puts Coop back at S for much of the night. Key to winning is mitigating the damage Chi does on the ground along with getting something in the run game when on O.

If they match with 11 personnel, Coop could line-up over the slot but that pushes us into a 1H look with Baun/Campbell with limited help vs Loveland (at least in zone both LBs are capable, and Jalyx/Nolan are relatively good dropping).
