September 7Sep 7 @mattwill Eagles 20, Skins 16Bonus — Eagles go three-and-out on their first possession (and the EMB crashes due to people being un-delighted with the new offense)

September 7Sep 7 Kind of how I imagine the first TD of the 2026 season will look like for the Eagles.

I’m also not denying the possibility of something that the 3 governing bodies have said happened yesterday based off facts. It costs roughly 600m a year to keep any 1 of the numerous GPS satellite system in sync. You’re suggesting that 100% without a doubt the NCAA has system in place better to ensure time synchronization of everything better than that and the replay footage was doctored? We can agree to disagree on this one…Go Birds DH!13 hours ago, we_gotta_believe said:We're not talking about preventing millisecond drift over the period of a year, we're talking about preventing a 500ms drift over a period no more than 5 hours according to the big ten's own statement. Chinese made devices have RTCs with dubiously sourced crystals that have better performance than what you're suggesting happened here.If you don't believe me, do the math with something we're all familiar with, the alarm clocks we grew up with every morning from 80's and 90's. They cost $20 a piece and despite being that cheap, they oscillated reliably enough that you only had to re-adjust them maybe once or twice a year after they'd drift by a few min. Conservatively speaking, you might see something on the order of 180s of drift over 6 months. That means you'd have to go ~24 hours to see a full second of drift. For a $20 alarm clock designed in the 80's. But somehow the multi-million dollar equipment from one of the largest broadcasters in the world is drifting at more than twice that rate? Mmmkay.9 hours ago, Wentz_Era said:Does a $20 alarm clock communicate & sync with multiple (100’s) other devices/systems to start/stop repeatedly in a short period requiring both human and technological input in a packed stadium full of frequency jammers and ridiculous amount of interference all while working through security systems? It’s the same concept as a hop sets radio or any with most other forms of crypto…the more input the quicker the drift on the Julian clock sync. There is zero/nada/zilch comparison to an alarm clock. This isn’t a hard concept and a strange sword for you to fall on. Mmmmkay.9 hours ago, we_gotta_believe said:My dude, the communication allowing for periodic synchronization hurts your argument rather than helps it. Think through that line of reasoning through before you head down that path.8 hours ago, Wentz_Era said:What path am I going down? Making sense? 🤣 its not like I have any experience with this at all. Do you have any clue the depth of systems required to make these events go (rhetorical, you clearly don’t)? I know you’re not one to admit when you’re wrong so go on with your there’s no way the system wasn’t hacked, doctored and rigged in a very small amount of time. Keep thinking about alarm clocks. Mind you all 3 governing bodies have reviewed and agreed here too.8 hours ago, we_gotta_believe said:Yeah, you're doing a real bang up job with comments about frequency jamming and statements like these: "It’s the same concept as a hop sets radio or any with most other forms of crypto…the more input the quicker the drift on the Julian clock sync."Uh, I'm not the one who started off the exchange with a false statement that the broadcast clock and stadium clock weren't synched, only to have the big ten's official statement torpedo your credibility from the get go.

Was that you or were you one of the guys jumping on moving cars as they tried to park?

If the Rams are on Sunday and you are on Monday, (now Monday and Tuesday respectively), and if the injury reports for the Thursday games are due on Monday and it was Monday at the game forum when you spoke, both teams should have done their first injury reports. For Thursday night games, injury reports start on Monday. That said, you don’t ever have to talk about injuries, just file the report.
September 7Sep 7 Author Game week!We are currently 4.5 point favorites. How? I see a double-digit victory. We have so much more talent. Folks here focus on our few deficiencies. Washington has a boatload.Eagles 27 - Commanders 10.@mattwill

September 7Sep 7 We have all heard persons described as if you ask him for the time, he’ll build you a clock. I think we have reached that stage in the @we_gotta_believe and @Wentz_Era debate.

September 7Sep 7 @mattwill I do think that like the college teams this past weekend, the Birds will look a bit rusty coming out of the gate. That said, I refuse to believe my team can lose until proven otherwise. Regular season, 17-0 Playoffs 3-0As always, I will wait for the injury report before submitting my weekly prediction. The above supports my tendency to always predict an Eagles win every week (and twice for the bye weeks).
September 7Sep 7 @mattwill Season - 14-2-1Week 1 - Eagles 27 - Hogz 24Bonus - Jalen Carter will 1 up last years 1st game by urinating on Jayden Daniels instead of just spitting. Tank Bigsby will score a TD. There will be at least one reference to the "Body Bag Game". At least one video clip will accidentally include Jame Thrash in it.

It was right around Halloween so I dressed up as Freddie Mitchell, champion belt and all
September 7Sep 7 Against the Steelers in Pittsburgh? Really, Adam? Would have thought the Pirates or Penguins.
