So here’s the thing. As a rational thinker, I’m not denying facts (things you asked about above). I’m also not denying the possibility of something that the 3 governing bodies have said happened yesterday based off facts. It costs roughly 600m a year to keep any 1 of the numerous GPS satellite system in sync. You’re suggesting that 100% without a doubt the NCAA has system in place better to ensure time synchronization of everything better than that and the replay footage was doctored?

If you start with a spreadsheet, it isn't that hard. The EMB Board's tagging feature does the heavy lifting.

We're not talking about preventing millisecond drift over the period of a year, we're talking about preventing a 500ms drift over a period no more than 5 hours according to the big ten's own statement. Chinese made devices have RTCs with dubiously sourced crystals that have better performance than what you're suggesting happened here.

If you don't believe me, do the math with something we're all familiar with, the alarm clocks we grew up with every morning from 80's and 90's. They cost $20 a piece and despite being that cheap, they oscillated reliably enough that you only had to re-adjust them maybe once or twice a year after they'd drift by a few min. Conservatively speaking, you might see something on the order of 180s of drift over 6 months. That means you'd have to go ~24 hours to see a full second of drift. For a $20 alarm clock designed in the 80's. But somehow the multi-million dollar equipment from one of the largest broadcasters in the world is drifting at more than twice that rate? Mmmkay.
