Sunday Evening Eagles-Commanders Week 1 Game Score Predictions -- for a game that is 161 hours away.

Week 1 has the 183rd Regular Season meeting between the Eagles and Washington. The current Regular Season series stands at Eagles with 87 wins, Washington with 90 wins, and there have been 6 ties. They have met only twice in the Playoffs ... with each team winning once. So the overall record is Eagles 88 wins and Washington 91 wins, plus the 6 ties.

As we do each week, we are gathering Game Score predictions. As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  I will be taking predictions right up until Kickoff. If someone posts a prediction without a tag, please reply to it including the @mattwill tag.

So far the following predictions have been recorded. I think there was one more that I missed, so if that missed prediction is yours, please resubmit it. The 4 predictions I have are

aptosbird with Eagles 27 Commies 15

just relax with Eagles 30 Commies 13

kiwieagle with Eagles 19 Commies 10 and a Bonus of "Q gets his first career regular season INT"

PoconoDon with Eagles 34 Commies 16

Got it

@mattwill

Eagles 24, Commanders 20. Woolen pick 6.

Also, really interesting seeing folks saying 30+ pts for us. Like the confidence, but will believe we turned a corner when I see it.

So you’re taking a small part of the statement to justify your position? Despite the rest of the statement saying my statement is right…but i need to update my talking points? I know you’re a relatively smart individual so i don’t need to explain to you how latency works right?

You’re typically on the non conspiracy side for the rest of football as a whole, and this is probably the only game Michigan will win all year. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to hate them later in the season.

Bro quit exposing yourself. If you think there was "time left on the clock" you are the one who believes in conspiracies. The clock was clearly at zero when the Western Michigan DB touched the ball. The same clock on the broadcast is the same clock in the stadium, is the official clock. There is no "third clock" which is essentially what the officials said by giving them another play.

Not to mention they can't even get their story straight since there were two explanations given as to why they get another play. One was "their clock" and the game clock weren't in sync and the other was that 0 seconds can also mean 0.1, 0.2 seconds, etc. Even Terry McCauley was baffled by them even checking to see if there was time left let alone giving them another play. They literally made something up to give Michigan one more play. Any unbiased observer with 1 firing brain cell realizes this. Michigan deserved to lose because they did actually lose.

I'm not a big fan of any college sports and don't watch a ton after NIL which has ruined college sports. That being said, I watched the entire 2nd half of that game last night and I don't plan on watching another college football game for the rest of the season. That was THE most blatant example of sports being rigged that I have ever seen which is saying a lot.

Gonna have to rely heavily on the defense for the first half of the season. I don't see the offense getting 28+ for a long time, hopefully they can at least cut down on the 3 and outs to keep the defense's snap count down

@mattwill

Eagles 27 Commanders 13

Saquon has over 100 yards rushing and Devonta has over 100 yards receiving.

We're not talking about preventing millisecond drift over the period of a year, we're talking about preventing a 500ms drift over a period no more than 5 hours according to the big ten's own statement. Chinese made devices have RTCs with dubiously sourced crystals that have better performance than what you're suggesting happened here.

If you don't believe me, do the math with something we're all familiar with, the alarm clocks we grew up with every morning from 80's and 90's. They cost $20 a piece and despite being that cheap, they oscillated reliably enough that you only had to re-adjust them maybe once or twice a year after they'd drift by a few min. Conservatively speaking, you might see something on the order of 180s of drift over 6 months. That means you'd have to go ~24 hours to see a full second of drift. For a $20 alarm clock designed in the 80's. But somehow the multi-million dollar equipment from one of the largest broadcasters in the world is drifting at more than twice that rate? Mmmkay.

Does a $20 alarm clock communicate & sync with multiple (100’s) other devices/systems to start/stop repeatedly in a short period requiring both human and technological input in a packed stadium full of frequency jammers and ridiculous amount of interference all while working through security systems? It’s the same concept as a hop sets radio or any with most other forms of crypto…the more input the quicker the drift on the Julian clock sync. There is zero/nada/zilch comparison to an alarm clock. This isn’t a hard concept and a strange sword for you to fall on. Mmmmkay.

Trinidad Chambliss is an interesting prospect. I'd like for Howie to take a look at him, especially with how we value the backup QB position. Probably wouldn't happen but I was interested in him last year before he decided to return to Ole Miss.

Also, the QB from Louisville has a hot mom.

My dude, the communication allowing for periodic synchronization hurts your argument rather than helps it. Think through that line of reasoning through before you head down that path.

What path am I going down? Making sense? 🤣 its not like I have any experience with this at all. Do you have any clue the depth of systems required to make these events go (rhetorical, you clearly don’t)? I know you’re not one to admit when you’re wrong so go on with your there’s no way the system wasn’t hacked, doctored and rigged in a very small amount of time. Keep thinking about alarm clocks. Mind you all 3 governing bodies have reviewed and agreed here too.

Yeah, you're doing a real bang up job with comments about frequency jamming and statements like these: "It’s the same concept as a hop sets radio or any with most other forms of crypto…the more input the quicker the drift on the Julian clock sync."

Uh, I'm not the one who started off the exchange with a false statement that the broadcast clock and stadium clock weren't synched, only to have the big ten's official statement torpedo your credibility from the get go.
