They’ll slide to 2-3, but their schedule gets very, very, very easy after that for a long time. They’ll be facing teams that may not even be trying very hard to win.

Eagles might be one of those teams trying to not win. Sure looked that way tonight.

2 reasons.

  1. He stopped gaining yards on his runs.

  2. Because of that, the offense got behind the sticks and couldn't sustain drives so they got behind and had to pass more.

So if he wants more carries, he needs to remain consistent instead of deciding to suck.

You think Saquon just decided to suck? Has nothing to do with the defense not being afraid of Hurts whatsoever and just keying on Saquon?

Right now we seem to be one of those teams not trying very hard.

Two lucky wins and a blowout. Should be 0-3. It’s tough to find even one bright spot on this crap team.

Jake has not missed a kick :)

Easy like playing the Titans?

They it’s led the box because they knew Hurts wasn’t gonna beat them. Adjustments what a concept. Sirianni might want to try it sometime.

That’s true. Hadn’t really had many chances either. So I don’t know if that’s a plus or minus.

They had WRs running open. The problem is the qb wasn’t seeing them

Nothing is in sync, as soon as Hurts got in a groove the pass protection started breaking down. We just don’t have the coaches right now to dig us out of a hole, which we dig ourselves into about 5-6 times a game during critical moments.

Seems to be a trend. Hold the ball, run into a sack, rinse and repeat.

Campbell has been a huge downgrade from Dean (I feel remiss not acknowledging that), but that’s not the real problem on defense.

  1. The safeties are terrible.

  2. Davis, Carter, and Dejean are 3 guys expected to be studs and they aren’t dominating.

  3. The edge rush isn’t getting home.

Problems 2 and 3 have a chance to self correct. Problem 1 probably won’t.

I think we all knew that was coming. I never really saw the Campbell hype but they weren’t gonna pay Dean.

I also don't see this "easy" schedule everyone is talking about. We could very well lose our next 4 games and the Commanders just beat the Seahawks with Mariota. I mean we just got carved all to hell by Case Keenum lol

Over under on when they get their first turnover.

Stafford will give them 1 or 2 next week

Safeties are awful and we knew they were going to be awful. Epps at his absolute best was still barely average. Makuba is too small. Coop looks lost. Davis might be a great locker room guy but he’s not developed. And the edges well I’ve never been completely sold on either especially Smith.

Apparently Darius Cooper didn’t even play a snap on offense

The OL was extremely inconsistent all night. And I wonder if the screens are Mannion's effort to take some pressure off the OL... but its not working, at all.

Let’s wait for film breakdowns. I’m not claiming they were great but OL play from what I saw was near the bottom of the list of things that went wrong this evening. Defensive communication and bad qb play are the main culprits. We are so accustomed to hurts insanely high time to throw that it’s so easy to peg the OL as the bad guys.

Remember that time you all thought running back the same offense minus AJ Brown with a new OC and a still older OL was going to net vast improvement?

I saw some concerning looks on the faces of Mitchell and Baun….someone needs to step in and be a leader….not just a talker but a leader that players listen to. I haven’t seen a Fangio defense get this embarrassed, just sickening to watch

Tonight they looked like a very much below average football team.

Feels like a 6-8 win team. Might finally be enough for them to actually move on. I like sirianni. Grateful for everything he has done with the Eagles and success that he has had with the Eagles. However, I don’t think he’s the guy that’s going to fix this offense. The pass offense has looked this pathetic even going back to 2024. And they had two all pro caliber wide receivers and yet they still couldn’t get it to work. This isn’t all on him either. Qb and OC plays into this.

Sadly i don’t think mannion has enough experience yet to implement an entire offense or fix an offense for a team that’s expected to content. That’s too tall of a task for him at this stage of his career. I think if you wanna run this offense then you likely have to fire sirianni and find the guy that knows offense and learned in it.

The Eagles don’t wanna fire sirianni because he’s had so much success in the past. The issue with that is you don’t live in the past. You have to move forward into the future. If he’s not the guy that can implement this type of offense you want and get it to where we think it should be then you have to make that decision. You can’t just keep him because you really appreciate what he did in the past. If the results show that mannion can’t do it and he doesn’t have the knowledge to do it, then you have to make the decision

This certainly looks less like the 2022 or 2024 squad but more like 2023 or 2025 (at best).

I don’t think they will turn things around but 2024 had a rough start as well. I will never forget that MNF debacle Barkley drops a pass that could’ve closed out the game or at least run clock. And then cousins just went down the field in like 60 seconds and scored the GW td after the defense had him in check most of the game. And then hurts had that debacle in Tampa with multiple turnovers that led to the embarrassing loss. This team was able to turn it around with Barkley and a great o line play.

Nothing can really be done about hurts now, but I wish the eagles would stop hiring cheerleader head coaches <_<

Subjectively, there was some improvement from the OL I’ll give you that. There was success running left. There were still pocket breakdowns due to interior pressure more than we should see. I remember 2 whiffs each from Jurgens and Steen.

I truly believe that Trotter Jr is more instinctive, and frankly, more physical.

He’s more of a Dean type linebacker. He uses his instinct where as i believe Campbell is more of a finesse linebacker.

The line has issues, but let’s be honest. Saquon has not looked right since 2024.

He looked just fine in the first half. Then Dennis Allen made adjustments at halftime and the holes disappeared.

Mannion needs to be better at anticipating the adjustments and having a changeup after halftime.

Makai Lemon is good. Just have to actually throw him the ball past the LOS and no more screens.

Trott needs to start. Give him a shot already
