There's a certain attitude here that may help build an identity for this line. With Lampkin, his fundamentals are elite and should translate. He may get pushed back at times, but still hold the fort just long enough. Wrestling background plays a role here for sure. This will be a fun OL to watch going forward. Crazy to think that a bunch of no names here will likely be better than what we had.I am looking forward to see how he plays. Yeh he's shorter and lighter than the prototype NFL IOL but he understands leverage. I would love to see a non prototype (physically) player do well, it would be a great football story.

If a qb gets hit one play, has a guy in his face the next play, and then has a dude throw his guard into him on another play, the play after that it’s not easy just see everything immediately and let it go.Thee are plays to be made though. Im not arguing that. There was a slant that he didn’t throw as soon as the ball was snapped to Lemon once and I was like 🤦I think Nick Foles would be the first to say that protection was a disaster. Quick beats, sliding away from overload blitz, guys unaware of DL games. Also, schematically not much adjustment was made to recognize these problems - no hots, no alerts to shorten up routes to get the WRs looking back at the QB, etc.
October 8Oct 8 If you seek answers from siriani or are looking for compensation for this season 😂https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19XcMLTMjA/

October 8Oct 8 Is Majors at C, like Fred Johnson at Guard a couple weeks ago? 😅Before they shocked the world with Jurgens. Wouldn't be surprised. They troll this Philly media well.

I don't think you're crazy, within a 2H context I think he can be valuable making reads and matching up with WRs downfield. If we are forced to play him in the box extensively because things aren't going well up front, that's a different kettle of fish.

The only backups would be Fred Johnson coming off an injury and Micah Morris.Majors would already be one elevation also.Maybe we can activate Stowers to be our top interior offensive lineman.

Or maybe they think Kendall will play and want to give Lampkin reps at OG?
October 8Oct 8 They didn't play in the preseason 2024 either so I don't get the point. As an aside, I wonder if Fangio will be pissed if Howie starts trading off defensive pieces for picks if this season goes into the tank. And if so, if it'll drive him into retirement early. I don't know either way, but almost all the attractive deadline pieces would be on the defensive side.

We traded Ertz to ARZ, but had Goedert... idk, I don't think this organization wants the stink of a full-on tanking.

That alignment gives us a better chance there.

I think that changes the equation. If someone calls and offers a 2nd+ for Ojomo or a 3rd+ for Woolen, there's just no way Howie turns it down.

They already traded away Jurgens who was very popular in that locker room, so Howie is already telling us he doesn't give two craps about culture this season.
October 8Oct 8 Yeah I can see Vic retiring due to "health reasons” around week 10, if this season is going to be a fire sale.***DISCLAIMER**This is just a MB and it’s fun to speculate. 😃🤓🦮🏄🌵

I suspect his value on the open market would be similar to the value Nick Foles had. All the national media I listen to see Hurts as a product of the roster around him. I think very few GMs view him as coachable in the context of his ability to run any offensive scheme required. Hurts is not a plug-and-play acquisition. By the start of the 2028 season, he'll be 30 years-old; a dual threat QB who relies on his mobility is a rapidly depreciating asset. The Ravens built an offensive scheme around Lamar Jackson, and I think the majority view is any team acquiring Hurts would need to do the same.More and more are starting to realize how little that value is.
