I own a Jags player in a Dynasty league and I don't think they are at the Bears level yet. Running game is a step down and the pass catchers are very good but not great. Scheme wise, doing a lot of good things but its not a game I'd think before kick off that we'll get rolled badly here, Could of course happen as they are good, but I wouldn't be doom mongering too badly.

The Jags defense (at the least the front) is better, as the Bears defense is nothing special - but I'll take any encouragement at this point.

If we were playing in San Fran, I'd be taking a big gulp here. High potential to get rolled. The Jags are beatable if the Birds can convert 3rd downs in the 2nd half

Eagles aren’t tooled for a shoot out right now. They have to certainly improve on 3rd down for 4 quarters. Not just a half. The key this week will be winning ToP. They need 4 quarters of solid play.

Ironically, the jags game in 2024 was the game Siri got all of his dumb decisions out of his system before the team turned into an absolute juggernaut. Hopefully last week was that game for this year. I think just about everyone here wanted Siri fired and Moore promoted on the spot even after deans game sealing INT in 2024.

Yannick Ngakue deserves a special mention on Jaguars week. He’s no Urlacher or Larry Fitzgerald, but after them he might be the most frequently discussed Eagle that never was.

This is the first I’m hearing of this

The third downs might be better with Goedert in there to safety blanket, or Jalen might start actually playing the offensive scheme we're playing this year.

DG will help, a little. Do we know if he’s playing or is he just practicing and working back still?

I don't think you even knew what your point was.

Maybe you need help with reading comprehension. Also, plenty of ex players have been pointing out how starters not playing in the preseason has lead to more soft tissue injuries, and the first 4 weeks being ugly football, as those games are really preseason for the starters. I know some Eagles fans are idiots (it's safe to say you might be), but jfc, this isn't hard to grasp 🤣

Mailata's 30 before next season kicks off and this year he's learning the game all over again because the only blocking scheme he's been taught left town last year, I'd bet my bottom dollar if Howie was offered a combination involving a first rounder and a day 2 pick he'd consider the hell out of it

All the signs are he's trending towards playing.

Pretty sure he’s also the lightest offensive lineman under 6’. He’s also under 5’11”

So not beatable.

If its a shootout, it'll be post breakfast heartburn time for Eagles fans in Philly. If the team can cleanup the silly things by 50%, the level of performance will increase nicely and it should be a tighter game than many on the betting markets are assuming.

Concerns? Many. Reasons for optimism, some.

If Lampkin plays well, I don't think we see Dickerson again. Maybe if there's an injury, he comes back and we can showcase him for a bit just to show he can play. Also, there's a possibility someone could trade for him as a center. I just don't think anything changes with him regarding his health status in a 4-7 week period of time. It's Low Man Lampkin time! Coining Baldy there...

The $64,000 question. LOL

If ever a call to action was going to be there on the O, then Lane retiring and Jurgens being traded shows no one is safe over there.

We will see, the first series will be telling. If the Birds come out in their dumb non stop condensed sets against a team that I think is going to play the pass and force the run DG won’t matter. Campanile is going to be laughing if he gets to stack the box for free against a team down Saquon and Bigsby.

IDK about heartburn. I’ll take a shootout loss. That means the O was at least productive. Baby steps.

It doesn't have to be a shoot out, the offense just needs to actually stay on the field and let the defense rest up. If the offense can, I don't know, convert the odd third down and actually chew some clock on drives that come away with points then they should be able to score enough for the defense to protect.

If the offense (QB?) play like last week it's going to be a looong ugly game.

I think that is why the Q4 performance of D is so lacking this season. They are spending too much time on the field because the O 3 and outs itself. Running will be a challenge with Shiply and Peirce as lead backs, but still gotta give it a try

I remember when Hurts use to use his legs to extend drives and pick up first downs - is that a factor even more now because we didn't up his contract?
