Of course they close fast 🤣 that’s why Foles was a career backup. It’s easier said than done. There’s plays to criticize Hurts on. That’s a pretty iffy one.

Avant had a couple posted that I thought were good critiques of Hurts but Jason also pointed out a couple times receivers ran the wrong routes and Hurts threw the ball where they were supposed to be.

Stuff happens.

Nick Foles is probably one of the most positive guys out there, if you read what he's saying as criticism - then the QB f'ed up.

In terms of guys running bad routes, that's unacceptable (Dalton INT?) - but I don't think we'll be in a position until Smitty gets back to throw late to guys who are wide open.

idk man, the Eagles are top 5 with fewest missed games by starters since 2021. Seems starters sitting out preseason games isn't the issue with injuries. There's been coaches (Mike LaFleur) on record stating they have data models that show joint practices equate to preseason games in terms of mitigating injury risk.

A number of our starters are out with soft tissue injuries, and I never said it was just an Eagles issue or that we had it the worst. Ours are just very impactful due to who has been affected.

My argument was really that it's an issue across the league. Also, I did feel like with another new system in place, the Eagles starters should've played in the preseason to work out the kinks as much as they could. I mean, these guys are going into week 5 and they're talking about how they haven't found their "identity" yet.

I saw his breakdown and he's definitely not negative. That said, he was wrong on a couple of those evaluations. There were really just two plays where Hurts could've gotten the ball out, but on one he just didn't pull the trigger (which is 100% on him), and the other he just didn't see due to running the opposite way due to pressure.

Greenard is looking a bit bust like.

Vikings defense certainly hasn't missed him. They received two free 3rd round picks. I was hesitant to give up one 3rd round pick let alone two. Safe to say Howie regrets that trade.

Kendall not practicing so it might be Majors and Lampkin Sunday

He was hurt when they traded for him. Then two injuries and the little play we have seen hasn’t been that impressive.

Spike Eskin on the radio trashing Roseman for the Cam trade. Says you can't get rid of talent like that and a 2nd round pick is only going to be a bad player like Stowers or Makuba.

Or healthier Cam Jurgens 2.0?

It's not like Cam would have been available anyway, but if Kendall misses the game the Eagles are really testing their O-line depth. The only backups would be Fred Johnson coming off an injury and Micah Morris.

Majors would already be one elevation also.

Once Dickerson is off IR is he trade bait???

Hes a shell of himself and is still due a lot if money but if a team is willing to give up anything for Cam would they likewise give up anything for Dickerson?

Dickerson has an injury history from college to today. Jurgens doesn't have that history I don't think.

Who is the long snapper these days? Get him in there if one of these guys gets injured Sunday.

Thats not what I meant. I’m just saying it’s easy to say it from a chair.

It’s like Simon Says. If a qb gets hit one play, has a guy in his face the next play, and then has a dude throw his guard into him on another play, the play after that it’s not easy just see everything immediately and let it go.

Thee are plays to be made though. Im not arguing that.

There was a slant that he didn’t throw as soon as the ball was snapped to Lemon once and I was like 🤦

Again. Hurt again.

Pawn him to another team for a 3rd.

Howie,

Stop shopping for players at the Dents R Us store.

I don't think a guy whose 6'3" and 230 will hold up well

Its time to Free Willie! I know there is a lot of hype on Lampkin but I really do think this guy is going to be an upgrade. His technique is awesome, moves well and I think the size thing is overrated. If him, Kendall and Bell can step up, it will be a big jolt to this offense that is on life support.

Agreed. A fighter mentality who gives high effort will go a long way. These new guys all seem to play to the whistle and like to keep their guys down on the field. And stay down. There's a certain attitude here that may help build an identity for this line. With Lampkin, his fundamentals are elite and should translate. He may get pushed back at times, but still hold the fort just long enough. Wrestling background plays a role here for sure. This will be a fun OL to watch going forward. Crazy to think that a bunch of no names here will likely be better than what we had. Mailata and Hurts now have larger voices than ever in the huddle. I think that increase of leadership will be a welcomed role for both.

Landon really should consider retiring before he can't walk at all

He's probably already at the two canes in cold weather by 35 stage if he gave up now

I watched that and think Foles was way off there. There was a chance to hit Wicks but he came open a little late. (You could tell Wicks was pissed because he threw his arms in the air afterwords) It’s easy to say in slow motion. There’s a couple breakdowns online disagreeing with it too. Especially the part when he says to throw it to Lemon. The DB is just sitting there waiting for a pick 6.

This is not to say Hurts can’t be frustrating but that particular breakdown I thought was a little sus.

There's a couple of armchair film guys disagreeing with a Superbowl winning QB saying where he'd throw it you say? Tell me more.

That sounds snarkier than the spirit it's meant but if an NFL QB tells me he can make that throw into that window, then I believe him over "Big Dave bunch of numbers NFL film breakdown".

I was thinking the same thing...most DS are built like SS or LB nowdays.

Really? I've been impressed. But he needs to get on the field.
