Does Mahomes win with backups at almost every position on OL and a middling defense? No one does. This team has alot of holes. Everywhere. Defense is paid like it'a top billing. Haven't seen them play a complete game yet.

Does Mahomes play for the Eagles?

Wentz threw 4000yds to backups

Okay they were excellent. But they lost when they had a 14-10 lead. And then I blame Special Teams and Sirianni with how it all ended. There's blame to go around everywhere here. Offense came through when it mattered. So today under the circumstances performed admirably against a top AFC team. And that would have been the narrative after the game if not for botched ending. I'd understand if Hurts threw a pick in the end or blew it. Not the case. Did his part today.

I have no issue with Hurts play today. He wasn’t great but had nothing to work with against the D all the pundits claimed were the best to date this year in the league.

Offense is paid 2:1 in comparison to the defense….

Dead wood with Lane, CJ and LD. Don't even count them. It's Hurts and Devanta for all practical purposes making the bucks. And QB takes up a large chunk of it all.

Again, you think they see it as an issue. THEY DONT. They’ve had a ton of success with it over the last decade using it that way. So they don’t probably view it as an issue like you do.

I never said THEY see it as an issue. I said IT IS an issue.

They don’t not think that. So to them you are wrong.

Everything you say defending Hurts about how he’s limited, not that good, but hey he won a SB and so many others couldn’t….

I could say the same thing about Siri. Yet everyone is ready to fire him.

And Hurts is a player who gets worse with age (which has been very obvious for all to see that he’s regressing). Yet you wanna ditch Siri and keep Hurts even longer.

Nick can figure that out somewhere else. His act has grown old here. Good riddance

I mean, people haven't really ever liked him, so it's not about it getting old, it's more about that he would have had to be better than any coach we've had in the 2000's to be liked at all anyway. Still lost on me how he's more disliked than Chip was, despite Chip being a way worse coach who hired the second worst DC I've seen the Eagles have personally, shipped out two of our best players, took over the FO, crashed it into the dirt, and then did a prove it run in SF just to show how bad he actually is.

Well, hopefully they will come to their senses and soon.

Mannion was an offensive assistant in 2024, and a QB coach last year. That’s the extent of his coaching experience. This is the guy you want to hand the keys to? He’s still learning, which our front office knew when they hired him. It would be a disservice to the team and to Mannion.

If they fire Nick it should be Fangio or Hurtt, as an interim.

Whatever they do is fine.

Just saying this guy is supposed to be the next offensive wonder boy and future head coach.

This is what most fans want.......a head coach that runs the offense and calls it like a McVay or Shanahan so we dont have to worry if assistants get signed away to other teams.

Very simple. This TEAM isn't good enough as of today. Can it change? Unlikely, but today was another L before the game started in reality. Until they lose to a non-playoff team, this is probably where it's supposed to be at 2-3, when you looked at the skedge before the season. Lose to the Panthers and I will be ripping peeps everywhere including Howie! 😅

you know what they’re gonna tell you well we’ve been really strong with analytics since 2016. We made it to 3 Super Bowls, won 2 Super Bowls, been to the playoffs 8 times in 11 years and been one of the most successful franchises in the NFL over that time being this way. So again to them it’s not an issue as they’ll say it’s help them a lot in their success.

So my advice is get used to it because they’re gonna keep doing it. So whether you, I or anyone hates how they approach the analytics, it is very likely continuing. It is actually likely worse with Julian. From what I’ve read he’s even more analytically driven

This is straight up rage bait…

Yeah, they basically want Andy Reid back. And are envious of teams with era defining offensive minded head coaches. Problem is, how are we going to find one?

Nick has to go. Any other coach wins the last two games.

For every comment you can see bashing Nick, you can see one bashing Jalen. They both suck

Oh please, the club is famous for continually upping their game and moving on from mistakes. They are the last org you’d expect to stick with things that need fixing. Again, I’m not saying the entire approach is bad. Quite the opposite. However, it is flawed. I’d bet my bottom dollar they would be more than happy to make the tweak if they properly observed it. Analytics is a never ending game of improvement in the algorithms. I’m simply suggesting they take the next logical step.

I used to get so depressed and angry after games like this. Being a fan since ‘79, I’ve seen them lose in every way conceivable. Thank god they won two Super Bowls, I don’t even really get upset any more. These last two weeks are basically laughable.

Before this season started it was likely all 3 of those OL may not finish the season. And were essentially dead money as older cripples. I didn't expect crap out of them based on last year. I expect Carter, Greenard and Davis to be dominant and control games for their pay. That's all. Not happened yet. All 3 have underachieved considerably from what I expect.

Honestly don’t know why I’m engaging with you - you only seem to be here when Hurts and the Birds play poorly. Probably still suffering from PTSD from watching him and the Birds lift that Super Bowl Lombardi and MVP trophy.

I've been a regular for a long time now good or bad - and long before Hurts

This one got me but I’ve recovered quickly. There was a lot to like today to be honest. They need to get some consistency in the OL and get the injured players back. If Nick can hold the locker room they can win the division. I know some in here don’t care about that but I tend to think a winning culture is important. Howie will build the roster either way.

Carter was dominant for much of today. Need more at Edge.

I decided to stop defending Sirianni the moment we kicked off in the field of play. We threw a win away --- one that would have certainly given this team energy for the season. This nonchalant attitude about important moments is indefensible. Every play we throw away to "live another day" adds up because often games come down to one or two critical plays.

And in Hurts' case, I see no reason to defend him at the moment. If he won't fight for a first down with his legs when the offense is struggling to convert 3rd downs, then get me a player that will. Living to fight another day could very well give you nothing to fight for at a later date. They pulled Wentz in 2020 even though it wasn't just him and the whole time we still had a playoff possibility by simply winning the division (i.e. there was still something to play for that year). If we find ourselves out of playoff contention with a few weeks remaining, we absolutely should replace Hurts to evaluate McKee or Payton in an offense schemed around their attributes with an eye on the future.

Let's see the $38M guy do it every week and we have something. We didn't see this guy since the Superbowl.

I'm glad we don't have to pretend Sirianni is a good coach just because the team made the playoffs under him for much longer. He brings nothing to the table shematically. He's basically a hired motivational speaker.

"They made the playoffs every season under him and won Super Bowls, he's good" when the reality should be "Howie Roseman is so good at his job he won Super Bowls with Doug Pederson, Nick Sirianni, Nick Foles, Jalen Hurts"

"He’s on a hall of fame trajectory”

Anyone hear anything on Jalyx Hunt?
