October 11Oct 11 Quick question: if Eagles preseason roster quality offense scored 20 points against a superbowl contender last week and 17 points against another Superbowl contender this week, how many against the Panthers? It would make sense for an uptick to 28 points if everyone's back and a full roster on offense. 3-3 record and then playing divisional opponents, 3 straight weeks with Cowboys, Commanders and Giants. Got them 6-3, believe it or not. Based on the health coming back and these division opponents looking like they do. It's not a shoo in by any means. Played the top teams tough and now got to win these games you should....will see. Gotta flush that game.

He has been money this year and has the leg to make that kick. Im not so sure it is go for it or punt it. It may have been go for it or let jake try to make a 60 yard field goal. I’d love for a reporter to have asked sirianni about that. That is fair. Wonder if that option was considered.I get not punting there. We cant just spend the entire 2nd half of games trying to hold down a small lead - you have to keep the scoreboard ticking over. I am honestly not mad about the decision to go for it over punting.

I keep wondering why in the hell it looks so bad the second half and I think thats when teams start the overload on the right side and pressure him. Its like they let him get into one rhythm in the first half and then break that rhythm all second half.

He loves bringing the team to the brink of death just so he can try to bring it back to life at the last moment.I will never credit him for being the arsonist who puts on a fireman suit and arrives to put out the fire he started in the first place. How people dont see this pattern is beyond me. But its beyond idiotic to try to credit him for these "late game heroics" when he is the reason a hero is needed in the first place.

So you keep thinking they’re gonna change it because you wanted to after 5 games this year.So in conclusion, we can all keep crying about it, but they’re not gonna change it just because everyone is upset after five games and they have more proven success than failures doing it their way for a prolonged period of time. The end.Do you even understand analytics? The science is dynamic. Do you even understand the Eagles? They constantly look to improve. There is nothing static about either of those two.

Hurts has had very poor recognition and situational awareness so far this season. He did open up his game a little today and the result was good, but defenses fool him way too much.

So far this is a team that can't put 4 Qs together on any front. That's it.

And they’ve been one of the most successful franchises in the league and with analytics. So they’re gonna say after having decade worth of data of success and proving how they use analytics has been very successful, but because after five games just change it. Yeah I find that very Fing unlikely.

But that frustration hasnt completely erased all the positivity I feel about the team being in position to win today coming in so injured, getting even MORE injured during the game, and still having the game won against that cocky jaguars team. With todays performance, I still feel there is a ton of fight left in this team, and a real possibility they get it turned around before its too late. Now, its going to get tough to end up with a record good enough to get a wildcard position. So we have to really watch how far ahead we let the Giants get. But, we still get to play them twice which can go a long way in to being able to surpass them for the division.Yes, for once we are in agreement. Everything except the level of disdain for Hurts. He wasn’t great but it was all about managing the game and then doing enough to win today. He did that. It was Nick and the kick team that gave away the W.
October 11Oct 11 no one is talking about the missed TD to Wicks anymore. No one has ever complained about the number of horrible off target throws in the 2nd half when we couldnt move the ball.Everyone saw 1 single drive that moved us in to long FG range (which also could have been better but was barely just enough) and wants to blame everyone else because "Hurts brought us back"STUPID.

Even when a coach makes a bad call, the team has the option of executing well...The one player who was consistently bad all second half though... who killed us over and over again drive after drive... that was more damaging that 1 call by nick (or probably not nick).

We’re changing it now even with the ton of success we’ve had prior to this year and after 5 games cause Dr. Philly says we need to change it. Lol.Go back and re-read the exchange. I’ve never once said they should or would abandon analytics. On the contrary, I’ve consistently said a "tweak” was needed to learn when to make an exception. Every great process model includes the possibility of an exception when necessary. This model is no exception.

Granted some of that issue is that the offense once again couldn’t possess the ball in the second half. The O came to play for 1Q (2nd) an had 5 x 3 and outs. Jags had the ball for 10mins more than usIn 11 offensive drives (excl last FG), they conceded 16 pts. On the whole, I'll take that from the D any dayThey did concede more chunk passing plays than ideal - Fangio will be on them for that
October 11Oct 11 What an absolute blunder from Washington. Absolute comedy for the entire NFC east this week.

Yes he missed the pass to Wicks and he threw behind Goedert but he also didn’t turn the ball over which many QBs would have done. I don’t think today is the day to blame Hurts.

Those who break qbs down by mechanics, progressions, able to call line assignments. These are the ones who think jalen is below average. The other party says he does whatever it takes to win so hes amazing (philly underdog ish)The second group will ignore the bad pass, then the bad sack if jalen runs for the first on third down, all good. Makes the argument go on forever

This model is no exception.I’m gonna ask you this question, everyone in here has been b!tching and complaining about their use of analytics for the last 4 weeks. Have they changed it or tweaked it since that? The answer is no.so now that we (NOT the organization) have established they’ve had a problem with the way they’ve used analytics over the last month (I’d argue dating back to the back half of last year) and haven’t changed it, do you think they’re actually gonna change it or make Tweaks? I am guessing they aren’t. as it would’ve already begun and we’d have seen change. I’m guessing they’re gonna go down with the ship as they believe their model is the best model based off data and success they’ve had with it over a prolong decade period of time as compared to 5 weeks of a season.
