Siri taking blame for the wrong call on the kickoff is the right thing to do, him then saying, ive gotta learn from it and work harder...

Exactly how does one work harder to fix a bone headed call like that???

I mean seriously does nick think doing 100 push ups helps him not make idiotic choices at the end of the game

Maybe he can watch tape of last second k8ckoffs ??? I mean really exactly what can nick do to work harder at not doing stupid things to lose games.

Its an easy call in that situation. You kick the ball out of the back of the end zone 100 out of 100 times in that situation and trust your D to be able to defend a hail mary.

Naw.

I could get down if they went to a point system for the standings.

Win = 3 points

Shootout win = 2 points

Shootout loss = 1

Obviously a loss in regulation would be 0

This team is poorly coached and the qb plays bad

To win today despite all the injuries, against a very hyped Jaguars team would have been such a big momentum building, springboard win. Catching that vibe as key players begin returning to the lineup was going to be massive.

The kickoff was a terrible decision that was the final nail in the coffin for us. That may have been Siri (I know he took the blame, as he always does a la Andy Reid, even when its not true) or it may have been Clay.

The thing is, with so many injuries, traveling to London and being in position to actually win this game is the biggest testament to Siri's coaching ability.

That was such a mammoth effort to get that job done throughout the week, it outweighs any game time decision for me.

Yes, you need a team of coaches around him to give him the right analytics, the right calls to make on reviewing or not reviewing, time management... He may not be a great game day coach. But there are very, exceptionally few coaches in the NFL that could have got todays version of the eagles ready to play this game and be in position to win.

Especially with Hurts at QB.

Yeah, you nailed it all the way until you couldn’t help yourself with the little dig at Hurts in the end. None the less, your point remains and I agree 100%

As bad as the offense has played, we could be 4-1 because of the defense. The last 2 weeks they've done their job. Davis can still choke on a twinkie

McKee with backups:

21/40 for 241 with 1 TD and 1 INT

Sucks. Bum. Get rid of him. Clearly shows he's not capable of starting.

Hurts with backups:

12/27 for 93 yards with 2 TD.

Poor guy. Played his heart out. Team let him down. Did enough to win.

And no, I'm not calling for McKee. I just think it's funny.

Its actually time to call for McKee. If the tank commences because McKee sucks, so be it. Hurts is already tanking the season. BUT, if McKee proves to be a great fit in this offense, now that he has had a bunch more weeks to absorb it, and finally gets to prove himself with starters at the skill positions for the first time in his entire career so far- this team could take off like a rocket ship.

If they bench qb1, it'll diminish his trade value a bit. They won't bench him anyways

That MF’er ain’t choking on a Twinkie - he can deep throat a chipotle burrito just like @hputenis

OK, I’m gonna make this real simple…

when they were bad in 2020 guess what? they used analytics the same way they always had and are now. Whether they were hurt which they were in 2020. Whether they were bad which they were in 2020. They continue to use it the same way.

In 2021 when they weren’t a great team, they still used it the same way.

In 2022, no one had a problem with them using analytics the way they did. Frankly people got upset at Nick for not using it properly in the Super Bowl where it said to go for it.

When they crashed and burned at the end of 2023 they used it the same way they are now.

In 2024 when they were really good, they used it the same way.

In 2025 when things started crashing and burning around them second half of the year, they used it the same way.

This year when they’re banged up and not very good they use it the same way. We can go all the way back to a Doug first started, they’ve used it the same way.

So if i go back to when Doug got here, we have 11 years worth how they use analytics and how they want to use them. They want to be aggressive and an analytics organization to help them make decisions. Leaning heavily into it.

And you can go "oh please” all you want and say they make changes and learn from their mistakes. But yet again, you ignore they don’t believe it is a mistake the way they are doing it. They believe think it gives them the best chance to be successful because they have been for the better part of a decade doing it this way.

And I’m not telling you I wouldn’t make tweaks to it. I would’ve punted today. But when I’m telling you is, they’re not gonna do it because of the amount of success over a decade long period as compared to five weeks into a 2026 season.

TLDR - The bottom line is that analytics isn’t a set algorithm and the Eagles are the best franchise at moving on from their mistakes. They will make the improvement and get better either now or after the fault has bitten them again another time or two.

There you go. Far simpler than your long winded reply.

In this offense all I see is 6-8 yard passes to a double covered TE over the middle? It’s a fing joke.

That’s going to be a long uncomfortable flight back for Sirriani with a plane full of angry players.

He’s in real jeopardy of losing any influence and credibility he had left.

Btw the defense gave up 408 yards today. Granted some of that issue is that the offense once again couldn’t possess the ball in the second half.

here is a shorter version they haven’t changed in 11 years due to the overwhelming amount of success doing it their way. So you keep thinking they’re gonna change it because you wanted to after 5 games this year.

So in conclusion, we can all keep crying about it, but they’re not gonna change it just because everyone is upset after five games and they have more proven success than failures doing it their way for a prolonged period of time. The end.

They should have let the returner run for another second before tackling him. That was the play :)

That's exactly why. Jags ended with 10 more minutes in TOP

That was probably Sirriani’s strategy, players just screwed it up.

Far from being after Siriani , I’m wondering how Doug

Maybe he can play a game of Madden

Kenny Moore stood out today - the back of his jersey was prominent while he was being cooked all afternoon

Im very pissed at another 2nd half Hurts performance.

Im also pretty frustrated that the W slipped away and with that, the opprotunity to use this as a springboard. But that frustration hasnt completely erased all the positivity I feel about the team being in position to win today coming in so injured, getting even MORE injured during the game, and still having the game won against that cocky jaguars team.

With todays performance, I still feel there is a ton of fight left in this team, and a real possibility they get it turned around before its too late.

Now, its going to get tough to end up with a record good enough to get a wildcard position. So we have to really watch how far ahead we let the Giants get. But, we still get to play them twice which can go a long way in to being able to surpass them for the division.

Hey, at least we are using the middle of the field for once

Start calling teams to trade him then. Dont care much about his trade value anyway. The more pressing need is to start winning games. They already have 6 first and second round picks in the next 2 drafts.

Hard to blame the defense. Had a turnover and Defense bended but didn’t break in most cases. They did their job not allowing the jags to score even more considering the positions they were put in during the second half. Albeit Coen also helped just not kicking field goals. Frankly he kicks those FGs (18 and 23 yarders) it’s 16-14 prior to the second Washington TD. If they happen to get a TD probably ends the game or makes it at least 8 points.
