Mike McDaniel will likely be available in the offseason lol

Yeah, we should trade a draft haul and Hurts for everybody's favorite prototypical QB Herbert and team him up with the genius McDaniel

If not for a Cam Jurgens clutz tactic and Elliott not kicking into the end zone, we are 4-1. The Bears game was a butt whooping and they are just a bad matchup for us and they weren't winning that one. Even though Dalton had a game changer there with his girly throw there.

Each game has a key moment where things could have and may have played out differently. But those two plays (Jurgens muff and today's kickoff) that I am looking at. I know there's a ton of other things. And if you analyze those 2 plays, they have a common theme, the Eagles beat themselves. There is a world where they can clean things up. Can they get out of their own way and start performing to save this season? We will find out next week. I am a different guy if they lose this one. Patience is getting tested.

Anyone else notice the bad snap and great job by Mann to get the ball positioned for our go ahead FG?

Fox sports was skewering us on the wrap up. michael Strahan and Bill Cower are both questioning Sirianis playcalling on the last drive

Bad teams find ways the to lose game. Good teams find ways to win them. In the nfl Most games are going to come down to a handful of plays. Parity around the league unless you are like the titans (granted we looked bad against them too)

I mean they were really bad in terms of clock Management. I’m not gonna go as in-depth as I did previous post. But if they run the ball on first down on their last possession and make the Jaguars use their last timeout, you set up anything you wanna do on second and third down and can get the clock down to about three seconds when you call your timeout. That means the Jaguars don’t even get another possession and you’re kicking for the win..

Yup said the same thing. Right now they are not a good team. Is that a permanent idea. I am not sure yet. Grading on a curve with all the chaos and injuries. Need to see progress everywhere.

If not for 2 plays against DC and TEN, we are 0-6.

That said, they will clean this up unless Howie/Lurie decide they don't want them to. The division is firmly within reach. A playoff win once there? Probably not. But hard to not forge ahead for a while.

The game is over and Seattle lost, but I just got hyped for the seahawks anyway.

Found an eagles one. Now Im hyped for next sunday.

Yeah. Think 6-3....if healthy. Big if. 5-4 will suck and will still not put us out of it. Still a long season ahead. But getting shorter.

While I'd gladly trade 2-3 for 4-1, my thoughts on the team wouldn't change. 3 years ago, we were 10-1, and it clearly looked like we were on borrowed time. The start to last season was very similar. 4-0 start, but couldn't put a solid 4 quarters together consistently. Even in the 2-0 start, there were too many stretches of 3 and outs. It was never going to last. It all just came crashing down a lot sooner this year.

I think they’ll be somewhat better with guys coming back but really I’m not sure smith and Barkley are magically turning this offense around. I think there’s too many other issues. Imo won’t be nearly this bad in the second halves of games but still likely relying highly on the defense to keep you in games. Maybe it’s enough to help the defense in the 4th quarter not be gassed and more open to being exposed

I'm curious why he's considered the favorite? I thought it was supposed to be Allen? roll

Hurts defenders are always comparing Allen to Hurts

Whoa we are adding an extra loss when we’ve played 5 games just cause of how embarrassing the offense has looked in the second halves of games?

When everytime a "key moment” goes wrong for your team, that just means you’re a bad team. Especially when all of the stats from scoring, to yardage, to third down efficiency all day you are bad.

We need to get over the denial: this is a bad football team. Specifically, a very bad offense.

I am on the tank train. We need to give ownership and the front office the CLEAR, undeniable reason to move on from Siri and Hurts. They’ve both done good things here and I’m grateful for 2024. But this ship has been leaking since 2023 now. Time to move on. If we do it quickly we can actually give the defensive core we have another shot at a ring.

Meanwhile the Jalen Haters' favorite QB continues to be awful and winless.

Barkley is cooked imo.

If we get this version of Carter, Trotter in next week. Then figure out safety. No sure answers there. They have tackling issues. Can they be passable like the past. Never had great safeties really. Their margin for error is so little. We went from being bullies 20 months ago to winning games mano a mano and whooping u. A different formula needed for this roster. Turned roster over like crazy. More finesse now. And they haven't adjusted yet. Mentally or physically. That's a Sirianni adjustment which hasn't been made yet. He's gotta be better with this kind of team.

So here's where this will get interesting....this movie has played on repeat for every franchise that reaches the twilight of a coaching and franchise player lifecycle. It already started last year.

Last year, Patullo turned on Hurts. Not publicly, but it leaked out that he was telling NFC circles that it was "not my fault" and people don't understand the "inner workings" of what limited them. He may not have said it in a press conference, but I'm sure Hurts felt that heat.

This year, Hurts is already starting to turn on Sirianni. The daggers and redirection of blame to the coach are clearly there in the press conferences.

Sirianni will never trade verbal barbs through the media or deflect blame. He also knows that he's getting fired if this keeps up. Let's assume this continues for the next month. At that point, his one salvo, his one and only opportunity for a closing defense argument of his job and legacy...is to put another QB in there under center, call the offense, and show the world that it can be better.

Unfortunately, that QB is Tanner Mckee and the surrounding personnel on this offense would make any QB's life very painful. But if we get through the next 3-4 games with the same vibes, same head coach job security, same offense....and the health of the offensive personnel has stabilized...it's not a crazy move (for Sirianni) to call Mckee's number. Not because it's a smart decision. Not because I think Mckee is better or that it will go well. But from his vantage point and from a job preservation standpoint, it's the one pathway that could lead to survival when all else is lost.

Nobody likes having to do an onsides kick when you're down 3 scores in the 4th. And when it doesn't work out, you're in even worse position. But you've gotta try it. Again, I'm not advocating for that right now. But in a month with no change...?

Does Nick even have the authority to bench Hurts?

I don’t think he’s cooked. I don’t think he’s peak 2024 Barkley either. Probably just a solid Rb. Which imo he’s still better than Shipley and Pierce.

I just want to know what Sirianni does? Because he isn’t good on offense. He can’t call plays. He can’t get the team prepared. He can’t make any positive adjustments at half time. The team isn’t disciplined. And he can’t manage the clock either.

Yep, we have already seen how this stories ends twice if we are just squeaking wins with one side of the ball majorly underperforming.
