I don't really understand these afternoon games.

Broncos lead 10-3 at the half. Surely the offense had done enough to win. Why did they score 13 4th quarter points?

Lions led 24-7 at the half, why did they even come out of the locker room, that is more than enough to win, why are they wasting the 21 additional points they have scored, should save them for the first half of next week.

49ers led 21-13 at the half, not sure why they needed to add a TD and 2pt conversion, they had already done enough to win.

He is a highly variable QB with great intangibles who can elevate his play in the playoffs. Not unlike the 2017 Foles run but a better version of that type of QB.

He can play some of his football and go toe to toe with the GOAT and outplay him. But all 3 wild card losses have also been total clunkers.

Yes. Who doesn't have playoff clunkers? All of them do. They weren't perfect or they would all have multiple Superbowls. It's kinda hard winning a Supwebowl. Ask Allen. Ask Jackson. Ask Burrow. They all have had their issues and playoff clunkers.

3 points in the last 3 weeks!

I wish I could say that was just "bad"

Stats are just haters. Hurts is clutch and has intangibles and stuff.

At this point, everyone is kind of saying the same thing about Hurts, just different languages.

Guardrails are in place. No one is really arguing that Tanner McKee should start. That was an ill-fated dream. No one is really arguing that they want Hurts at this point or moving forward. Also ill-fated.

But we are where we are, the contract is what it is, and someone needs to kick the ball around under center (or in shotgun, to be more accurate) while Howie reloads personnel.

As long as there is no BS about actually sinking more money into him and their eyes are firmly fixed to the horizon and NCAA qb prospects, I don’t care that he’s the Ty Detmer / Doug Pederson of this new era of Eagles football. Just make it quick and don’t start hitting me with ideas that he’s going to be more than that again.

I am ready to see Tanner McKee a second chance now that he has had more time to digest the offense which was not only brand new for Hurts, but brand new for McKee too. Maybe we should have given him the same grace Hurts gets for learning a new system when McKee sucked this pre-season and we instantly wrote him off (even those of us who came in to the year liking him).

So tell me who threw those deep passes to AJ Brown and Devanta Smith that gave them each 1000 yards seasons? Was it AI? SI? These are just dumb viewpoints to think "any QB" could do that. There's 18-20 legitimate starting QBs on the entire planet right now. The rest are Tanner Brady and Carson Strong types. There's a strong divide between starter and non-starter talents.

lol hopefully you follow hurts to his next team. He needs you. You believe in him

So Ben Johnson leaves Detroit but their offense still lights it up most weeks…

Yup

Thats why howie is stockpiling the 28

Picks. That will likely be the qb year

As much as it sucks, the injuries matter. Wr need to let the season play out and see if the offense can improve

Yeah, we have been relatively injury free rhe past couple of years. It isn't pretty at alot of positions and, for sure, Dameon Pierce at running back definitely isn't pretty.

As HE stated, the league overall is really unimpressive this year. If some how, some way this team can get healthy and be competent on offense in the 2nd half, they have a chance.

I know there’s some people that aren’t gonna like this (later on about chambliss), I could see them trading up for a quarterback in this draft with those picks. I listened to Daniel Jerimiah talk about the quarterbacks in this draft class the other day. He loves chambliss. With the way he thinks, it is very on par to how the Eagles think. so I could see him I could see them loving him as well and trying to move up to get him.

I’m not saying they should do that or that I even like the kid. But when Daniel Jerimiah talks about stuff like that, my ears perk up because he tends to see things similarly as the eagles do.

For sure. They need a guy in place to begin developing. They cant be planning to waste another entire year with no options outside of Hurts again. Theyll get one in place this year for sure.

They have 6 picks in the 1st and 2nd rounds of the next 2 drafts.

Its not all about finding one 2 years from now. Thats all ammo to make the move this year with this years pick and next years to be used in a trade.

I dont want them to sink that many resources in to it. But the option is there to do what they need to do.

It also doesn’t help his HC’s background is not in this system. So it’s not what he wants to do or his philosophy. Asking him to be a CEO HC and mannion to just implement the scheme/system while calling plays as a 1st year OC seems like it is destined to fail

Yup destined to be FUBAR from tbe start and so far it has been.

I mean as bad as pattulo was atleast it was consistent with the HC and other coaches

The offense now looks like its being run and called by 3 people and an Atari 2600.

It’s been top 5 each season since he left I believe. I remember Sean Payton talking about Campbell. He said Campbell was one of the best offensive minds he had been around

Eagles preseason second half points, with all 3 backup QB's learning the system, and no Devonta, Goedert, Barkley etc. 24

Eagles regular season second half points with better personal every week, 23.

Imagine if the Eagles trade for Tua right now… my God, Hurts would probably just retire.

Impossible. Not sure how Goff can function with a new offensive coordinator.

What system fits hurts? Bec he ain’t a runner anymore either so what do we gotta do to get our qb to run a competent offense?

He ran some last year but the designed runs were predictable and poorly blocked.

He looked fast in camp and slimmed down a bit but seems mannion has zero desire to use hurts as a designed run option.

Imagine if Siri came out and said, I knew we needed to pass the ball to win and benched Hurts.

If there's no turn around which I don't see that happening, I would not be shocked to see them start Tanner roughly around week 13/14 to see if he's worth giving a new backup contract.

Lemon and Wicks balled out. Those CBs couldnt cover them and those guys made tough catch after tough catch. The QB didnt get them the ball enough. He threw a ton of uncatchable balls. Spazzed in clean pockets. Checked to a screen that got blown up when we all know we cant run screens (Kelce said Hurts checked to it).

The OL is not elite. It may not eve be above average. But it is not the reason the offense couldnt function. It definitely gave us a chance.

Hurts was 21/40 passing. There were not 19 times where he was getting hit as he passed the ball and had no time.... Also, he needs to stop being excused for every one of those. QBs can make tough plays too. He misses those throws and everyone always says... well, there was pressure...

Well patullo and the OL coach didn’t work together by reports. OL didn’t communicate with him so that was an issue.

The problem is they’re trying to incorporate one offense that Nick knows with another offense. And seeing if they can mesh it together. Does not work especially in one offseason with a 1st year OC who’s never been an OC before. The fact of the matter is if they wanna run this offense, I think you need an experience head coach in this system along with a quarterback that fits that system.

As of now QB4 in this draft is between Chambliss or Mestemaker. We would be so lucky to see teams overpay for top guys and have one of them fall within range for us to select, or make a small trade for.

Trade for Bennett from LA, and draft one of those guys, we have a great situation to be able to bench Hurts next year when he continues his poor play.

Would love mestemaker

Well as long as you're certain.

I certainly don't have a database of every quote and tweet uttered by everyone associated with the Eagles.

9ers target heads a LOT.
