Yes, it is difficult because the defense knows you have to go to the sidelines. You can’t throw the ball over the middle of the field, so yes, that is difficult to do.

A. You guard the boundaries so they can't.

B. "15 yards and out of bounds" in that situation is insanely difficult with the right defense called.

B. Big leg or not there is a massive difference between a 57 yard and 68 yard FG.

Common sense. Some people don't know ball.

I think its close. Were you watching the Rio game between the Ravens and Cowboys

Jags didn't have a timeout. They would have had to complete a 15-20 yard pass and get out of bounds in 8s.

The defense doesn’t get to use police tape or rope to cordon off the sidelines. You actually need a PBU or INT. It’s also more difficult for the defense than you’re suggesting

Yep. If there was 15 seconds there is an opening for that argument. With 8 seconds it is literally impossible to complete a 15-20 yard pass across the middle of the field, line everyone up, and spike the ball. The game is over if they just kick it into the end zone.

Yeah. Good luck explaining that.

I don’t know if it’s funny or sad that people actually can defend kicking the ball off there inbounds

The fact that there’s any debate about it shows the stupidity in the world, especially the idiots saying the same thing happened with the ravens and Cowboys. There was one big difference in that game the timeout it is literally impossible to throw a 15 yard pass at least and spike the ball in eight seconds and it is not humanly possible.

But it is possible for them to throw a 15-yard out, the Eagles commit a pass interference call, and then they get a free kick.

I mean it is not like the Eagles have NEVER been boned on a garbage PI call before.

Honestly, it was a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. I believe it was the wrong call, but who the F knows.

The fact that some people are actually even trying to consider that Sirianni's decision to kick the ball in play as the right one makes me believe I am in the twilight zone or something. THE GAME IS OVER IF THEY KICK IT INTO THE END ZONE. Sirianni is a dope and thought the game was already over even though Jaxksonville already returned a KO return for a TD against them in that very game and the special teams unit was without their best player due to injuries elevating guys and Trotter Jr. getting kicked out. This is the same coach who in a similar situation kicked it into the end zone against Tennessee earlier in the year and said on WIP it was context because their return man was a pro-bowler last year. This dude has ZERO clue what the F he is doing.

No. You kick that ball into the stands. You let Carter eat and you trust the rest of the defense.

Yes, it’s not impossible for something like that to happen, but guess what already happened in the game earlier, a run back so you kick the ball out of bounds. It’s not even a question. what is actual insanity? Is people comparing it to the ravens Cowboys game

LMAO, I don't know if it's sad, funny, pathetic, or all of the above that some people can't grasp this simply concept. Better yet, how sad, funny, and pathetic is it that an NFL head coach doesn't understand this.

Yesterday I took out the trash and emptied my dishwasher. I had more responsibilities than that Fing dope of a head coach and he can’t even get that right he does nothing. He has literally no responsibilities.

Tom Coughlin at least told his punter to not kick it to Jackson and the player screwed up. Jake was probably like you want me to do what???

So Lawrence can't throw a bad pass that's incomplete because the window is so small to fit the ball in? The receiver can't catch the ball but not get two feet in bounds because they window is so small to fit the ball in? Lawrence can't throw it incomplete right away because there is nothing open and attempt a hail marry from the 35 with one play left which likely doesn't reach the end zone? The Jags can't audible to an underneath pass and try a lateral play or audible to a hail marry because the defense has the boundaries completely taken away? Saying the only way to stop such a play is a PBU or INT is beyond stupid and defeats your weak ass argument before it even begins.

Poor parenting. As soon as Abdullah crossed midfield the dad should have told him "we just lost this game, son. Let’s go.”

The kid didn’t need to be subjected to watching the FG

Did he even give his son a battery to toss at Sirianni after the loss? Hopefully, he will let him light some cars on fire while he's in London.

Very late to vent my frustration.

Hurts can't miss that easy TD throw. He just can't.
Sirianni can't allow the kick to land short of the goal line. And all those reports about how the Eagles found something with the kickoff and the holder on the kickoff... I think we can put that to rest now. They found NOTHING. Gave up a TD on the opening kickoff, fortunately, the TD was called back because of the penalties... and then the final kickoff ends up being the deciding play, after bonehead move and bonehead move by Coen. He wanted to give the game away, and the Eagles just wouldn't take it. Sirianni needed to order the ball go into the end zone... through the uprights even better. And trust that the defense can put a shell around the sidelines and over the top and not allow a player to catch the ball along the side lines and get out of bounds in under 8 seconds. Just horrific decision making by Sirianni... but there's not much new there.

That was the justification right after the game. "But but but, maybe Nick told Jake to kick it into the end zone and he missed it by 10 yards." Now it's "but but but, they could have completed a 15ish yard pass and gotten out of bounds despite the fact that they obviously would have taken away the boundaries with the defense, and then kicked a 68-70 yard field goal to win so it's not the dope's fault."

How can you forget the very public play to AJ that was off script?? He's admitted to it before roll

Occam's razor, what does this guy even do? He doesn't run the offense. He doesn't run the defense. His entire job is clock management, decision making, etc and not does he not do that well he actually gets in the way and F's things up all of the time with bad clock management and decision making. He is a horrible coach.

The only defense this guy has had is that "his team wins”. Well they aren’t doing that now. He doesn’t get them prepared well. He’s not fixing long standing issues. He makes awful in game decisions. He can’t manage the clock. So if he doesn’t win he’s literally doing nothing other than taking the blame.

This to me shows how clueless Sirianni is. The clock management was the bigger issue. I guarantee you if he kicked a touchback and the Jags got a FG on a completion out of bounds he’d be saying he should have kicked off.

He doesn't believe what he's saying he's trying to avoid making his players the fall guys for that drive.

You are 100% correct. He only admitted the mistake because he had to, he's not going to admit to any more no matter how obvious it is
