October 12Oct 12 I don’t mind my team losing games, as it’s the NFL and that just comes with the territory.Stinks though, to lose games in the fashion that they are losing them. Strong, well coached, good teams finish out the Rams//Jags. Eagles aren’t there yet. Maybe they will get to that type of team as the season progresses. 🦅🏈🦮
October 12Oct 12 I keep watching the video of Howie furious after the game ender and I truly believe this game was the end of sirianni. Only thing that can save him is another super bowl win

October 12Oct 12 Don't see how people can think the Eagles will win the division. It's going to be Dallas or the Giants. I see the Eagles losing twice to Dallas, once to NY and possibly even at the Skins. I said to myself yesterday (since nobody else was around) that the final kickoff should have been s squib kick in the landing zone. This doesn't give the KR momentum and gives the Eagles a better chance of covering the kick. And Elliott's kick was a line drive type kick rather than high. This worked a few games ago when Mann was holding for the kickoffs. I don't understand Ebitike. Guy is worthless as a DE. He may not have much experience covering kicks but he moved to his right and let Abdullah have a mammoth lane.
October 12Oct 12 This has to be wrong about Lampkin. Baldy and Fowler are pretty positive in their reviews. This makes PFF look shady. A 33 he was not, from the tape. Overall consensus seemed to be he had a rough start and played well after settling in, in his debut. Said from the beginning, I don't he's necessarily your future LG, but a heckuva Swiss Army knife cheap reserve off the bench that will play a lot in a long season. Do think he can start at Center somewhere. For noŵ we leave him at LG. For this year you leave LD shelved, unless proven differently in practice with better mobility. Kendall is a good find at center for future. Bell is going to get better all season. He's at least Fred Johnson quality this second and an upgrade down the line. This OL should not be putrid and come together in these next few weeks. Got a vet on left side of the of line and one on the right to guide this along. Would like to see reps for Morris this year as well. Sure he gets them somehow with the constant injuries here.

October 12Oct 12 Just now, eagle45 said:'24 was an anomaly with the kind of run blocking they got 5 across for one year with that OL and Barkley running straight through it. Nothing more nothing less separated the 2023/2025/2026 offenses from 2024.The faster the Eagles accept that, the faster they can move on to something new.I don't understand your point. The Eagles were the number 1 rushing team in 2021, number 4 in 2022, number 5 in 2023 and number 2 in 2024. What separates the running game from those seasons and 2025 and 2026 is Hurts' use/willingness to be utilitized in the run game. In 2025, the run offense was middling vs. the trash heap dumpster fire where it is now.

Upgrade from Jurgens is not even debatable. Give the kid a couple games. The tape is very encouraging.

October 12Oct 12 1 hour ago, vikas83 said:Well, that royally sucked (yes, that's a bad pun because the game was in London). 2 straight weeks this team was in a position to win games that, given the injury report, they had no business winning. Glass half full - it's encouraging and reinforcements are coming. Glass half empty - team should be 4-1 and is poorly coached and finding ways to lose. The whole season is going to come down to these next 4 games, all of which are winnable, and 3 of which are in the division.Let's just get this out of the way - that was coaching malpractice multiple times at the end of the game. First off, you have 1st and 10 at the Jags 34, Jags have 1 timeout. And you call a pass? Run the damn ball, make them use the last time out. Then you can throw on 2nd down to get closer, run on 3rd, call timeout with 3 seconds left, and Jake's kick is the last play of the game. I get that a 52 yarder isn't a gimme, but Jake has been solid all year. You just CAN'T do that. For those killing Lemon for going out of bounds on 2nd down, that's why he's a rookie. Momentum taking him to the sideline, you can't leave that up to a rookie.I have no problem with what Hurts said in the PC - he doesn't call the plays. After that boondoggle, kicking it short is just mind numbing. There's no excuse. I'd be fine if they had fired Nick on the flight home - CEO coach can't get that wrong.Just guard the sidelines and game is over with one snap from their 35.OFFENSESome good, some bad from Hurts. Without a ton of weapons, and a makeshift line, he did enough to win and left the field with the lead with 8 seconds left. The miss on the bomb to Wicks sucked, but I kinda thought Wicks slowed down a little. But with less than zero help from the running game, he put us in a position to win.16 carries for 20 yards by the running backs. No, that isn't a typo. 16 carries for 20 yards. The blocking wasn't THAT bad. Being down to RB4 was a real problem - we need Barkley back.In all seriousness, this running game is complete crap and needs to be scrapped. We can't run it from under center to save our lives.Lemon did some nice things, as did Wicks and Cooper. When Smitty comes back, we have a solid WR core. Goedert was effective as well. The offensive line was...better? Lampkin gave up pressures but battled, and Bell looked OK in his 2nd start. Majors was fine other than a couple of snaps. Removing Jurgens did help, and if Kendall and maybe Landon come back, there's a chance for them to be average, which would be real improvement.DEFENSEWelcome back Jalen Carter! It kind of looked like he had his cast off? Either way, he wrecked the game for the Jags, and we were unlucky not to recover either fumble. But that's the monster we need on the inside. Davis was better as well.Unreal we lost Hunt on a BS after the play action.Baun is a stud, but Campbell...I've been a defender, but at this point, play Trotter (which was the plan before the BS ejection). Campbell is just lost out there.Pass defense took a step back when Carter went out and Moore came in. Hope Carter is OK this week.Q, Coop and Riq were solid as usual. That TD catch on Riq...can't play it any better. The first Jags TD was just a terrible play all around, but feel like Mukuba was mainly at fault there.ST: Jake is back to being trustworthy

October 12Oct 12 Question.I know we/the coaches are probably afraid of Hurts doing to much and throwing an INT... but was anyone else wanting to continue that final drive with a minute left rather than just settling for the long FG?To me that's the difference of playing not to lose rather than playing to win.Go finish in the end zone with little time left. If you can't quite make it, kick the close FG then.I wanted to spike the ball on 1st down to preserve time to continue driving. The Eagles let 30 seconds tick off just saying ok 56 yard FG is fine.Had we gone and scored the TD, we can't lose on that last second FG. And even if more than 8 seconds were left, they probably dont drive the field and score a TD in the amount of time that would have been remaining.Management of that drive is the big quesrion I'dbe kicking around in my head. Not so much whether or not they kicked off the way they should have after the score.
