Correct. What do you think bruises are?

They found a blood clot and you are saying that was just a bruise and was no big deal? Lot of people are shocked they let him play.

I don't think anyone thinks it will be.

I’d hope so. He’s no more than a backup and probably not a good one either.

Not exactly, but a better shot than the Week 18 crew.

Agreed - lots of injuries, so I guess he gets a little leeway.👍

Skipping ahead, if Jalen misses significant time (or maybe the rest of the season), it really complicates his contract status. He was only $22mm of guaranteed money for 2027, so this was a natural time to consider an extension or moving off him. Perhaps the middle ground will be to guarantee his 2027 comp in full and have him play one more year to defer the decision.

Howie has his eyes on someone coming out in April. If he doesn't, he'll start scouting that position soon to find his guy

Let the young guys play. I'd sure as hell rather watch McKee/Payton/Lemon/Stowers/Cooper/Lampkin/Bell/Morris/Kendall go 3-8 and gaining experience from here on out than Dalton/Ertz/Calcaterra/Mundt/Dickerson/Johnson willing em to 5-6.

Don't throw in the towel yet. You're about to see some new wrinkles in the Mannion offense that Hurts wasnt comfortable with.

We may start scoring points and winning games. Give it a chance.

Take the medical out of it. His play on the field this year wasn't getting him an extension

Bold prediction. Eagles score at least one td in the 2nd half against Carolina

Whatever the outcome is Sunday, we will have a new starting qb in '27. That's all I care about

You will be sorely disappointed. If Jalen misses significant time, this all but guarantees he is here next year as the starter. We can't cut him ($107mm in dead money split $52.7mm in 2027 and $54.5mm in 2028 if we make it post June 1), and no one is trading for a guy who missed most of the season. This makes is MORE likely he is the starter week 1 2027.

Maybe a lot of reactionary idiots that have no medical backgrounds. People like you keep quoting on twitter. Lots of players play with a hematoma caused by injury. The severity of the strains these players get cause bruising all the time. They did the right thing and monitored it. Shut him down now that it became an issue.

You're being a bit of a drama queen...the clot was stable and he was cleared to play while in London, he had a follow up and it had moved so they are being cautious now. It is not life threatening.

Eventually we'll all have AI nanomachines in our bloodstream that will zap any clots as they form.

At this point - no. But he had another 12 games to adapt to a new offense.

Again, it just became MORE likely he is back.

The funeral services are currently being held for the Philadelphia Eagles right now. Let's not forget they still have a pretty good defense that is improving. And haven't done much on offense this year anyway. My concern is can McKee play mistake free football and stay composed in the pocket and not look like Andy Dalton throwing up crap anywhere? Being that this is a bad division...if...BIG IF...they beat Panthers Sunday the whole convo changes here. Won't rule it out.

All bets are off, if they lose this weekend. Think it's just too big of a mountain to climb having lost 4 straight and the ongoing injury situation that lengthens every wèek.Then I'm looking for the tank commander Andy Dalton to take over as soon as McKee gets traded in 2-3 weeks. 4-13/5-12 can still be accomplished. This weekend is the season, IMHO.

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Isn't he one of the players we know for sure Howie has an insurance policy on?

Someone mentioned it being an issue for the NFLPA and I'm being a drama queen? OK

Now we’ll never get rid of Siri. Losses are excusable even more now

I expect him to be on the team in 2027. I also expect Howie to draft the future starting qb in April. It was unrealistic to move on from him with the cap implications. I fully expect them to cut him loose in the offseason in '28

I’d like to see them succeed, but chances are it’s not gonna happen. The deficiencies of Hurts have been discussed ad nauseam, but I think you’re just putting way too much blame on him. The offense is dysfunctional and it’s more than just Hurts. IMO

They said potntially a problem. If he was seen by a Dr in London they are covered and it won;t be a problem...the sky is not falling.

Another 12 games to stink up the joint

Hey whaddya know? Hurts just gained a new excuse too. He only got 5 games to learn the new offense

Let's give him another year! Surely he will improve next year..hes basically a rookie.
