He’s gonna play unless you take it away from him and tell him he can’t. So to me, I understand why he wanted to go out there and do his job. That’s how he’s mentally wired and how he got to the position that he’s in. He’s tough and wants to play any chance he can. It’s how he became a starting nfl QB.But the Eagles, their medical staff and the coaches have to be smart enough to be like yeah he’s gonna say he can play he feels good enough to play. But they have to be the smart enough and respect his life is more than just playing football. This was about the rest of his life and not just a game in London.I agree, but we have to get to the bottom of the stories flying around. Last week it was reported it was a superficial clot and not a huge deal as long as he kept moving. Someone here called it a bruise. The "he couldn't sleep" thing is what's bringing it to this point. Was that a if you want to play you have to keep moving kind of thing or a if you sleep you may die kind of thing? I don't know how much Howie and Jeff would have known. They landed, he went to get tests, they went to sleep, and they played. I'm sure they asked how's he doing and were told he's fine as long as.....kind of thing. Again, I doubt Jeff or Howie heard he could die and they sent him out. I doubt they dive into things a ton in situations like that and trust the doctors.

Which is a bigger problem that your medical personnel is not as good as they previously thought (guessing we have a new medical staff in 2027). But furthermore, the whole 36 hours of not sleeping is what is more on the team Because I don’t know how anybody would think they could do their job at an effective level and a high level not sleeping for 36 hours. Especially with all the rest of the stuff that was going on with the blood clot itself and travel to London. To me that’s where it falls on the organization. The doctors may have just been poor in their diagnosing and clearing him to play. But everyone knew he hadn’t slept for 36 hours. To me that’s where the Eagles as an organization failed him. The doctors may have said oh he’ll be fine playing with their diagnosis and you take their word for it as most of us go to our doctors and trust them. But not sleeping for 36 hours which severely hinders his performance and ability to function in a dangerous game falls entirely on the Eagles and allowing him to go out there.

This is gonna be a big deal. Time for everyone to lawyer up before they say anything. The national media is already all over this story and they love to play gotcha.

We have to see what ends up being true. X is blowing up with people going off the rails about this, which may turn out to be justified, but we have no idea what is true. Did the Eagles know he'd been kept up that long? Who's decision was that? Hurts or the team telling him to? We have the story about Howie bullying Lane into playing a few years ago, so I guess there is history. We'll see. I'm not sure there is enough to cost them a first though....at least I hope not. We'll see where the facts land.

The problem is the runs are poorly designed and not coached well at all.

The national media is already all over this story and they love to play gotcha.Imo doctors are gonna be sued to oblivion by the Eagles for their part. If I’m hurts lawyer, I’m suing the Eagles and the doctors. Furthermore, if I’m Jalen hurts, do I wanna play in an organization, that didn’t do the right steps to make sure that my health was of the utmost importance. And allowed me to go out there and play. We can say he wanted to play and he wanted to be out there. And he told him he wanted to be out there. But it is their job to prevent players from hurting themselves even more. He is wired that way, so we couldn’t wanna do it. So your doctors and you as an organization have to be concerned for the rest of his life not just a football game in London.

But if I’m an NFL player and I see what just went down, it makes me wonder about whether or not I want to play for that organization as do they care more about winning then my overall health. We can say what they want that they are a good organization and they win but this is more than football and about a players long term future and his life. Pointing out it isn’t good optically they also just traded Cam Jurgens away when he was diagnosed with a concussion and has yet to play for the ravens yet. I’m not saying you don’t do that trade, but it’s optically a bad look that you traded away a guy with a concussion and now you have this story coming out. And then you have the Maragos story from years ago that’s gonna get played out. Plus then you have the lane Johnson story with Howie that happened in 2018. That’s also gonna be played out. It’s a bad look all around. The Eagles and doctors put themselves in a bad spot regardless of what the full story is. PR on this is awful and most people go with the first piece of news they see not the follow ups.
51 minutes ago51 min So, the head trainer, the team doc, the team orthopedist….they aren’t going to know how to personally review an ultrasound for DVT versus superficial clot (at a high level). It’s not their skill set. That’s radiology and/or vascular surgeon (or AI).They are relying on a report provided to them by one of those entities. And the eagles, to my knowledge, don’t employ any of those types of docs.So there could be some external error that was introduced into their medical staff. At this point, I’d say the most likely scenario is that the ultrasound was not interpreted correctly. He wouldn’t have played with a known DVT, but I’d bet that’s what he actually had.
