Idk why everyone wants this team acquiring more later picks when it's proven how terrible they are outside of round 2. Pick a blue chip talent, something you haven't drafted in years, and you still have a ton of picks.

Eagles gave up 1370 for 1300.  

Parsons grew up a Cowboys fan.  So now of course I have to dislike him.

Well, I'll still give that title to Rice, but maybe you are younger than me.   BUT, I don't deny Smith's talent.  Let's see what he does in the NFL.  A lot of guys who never had trouble staying healthy before struggle in the NFL.  Its a different beast.

 

I can say that I am hopeful about this pick, and I was worried that I wasn't going to be.  

Sean Lee retires and Cowboys get another PSU linebacker in parsons.

In the unlikely event you hit on all first round picks next year, good luck extending them all at the same time.  If you have 4 first round picks, you are pretty much forced to move one of them as part of a trade up or roll back to 2023.  
 

Id still have taken that trade, but we’ll see.

I'm giving Howie an "I" for the first round, because while we do need better WR play, we need that WR to be healthy.  Hopefully, he can stay healthy in the NFL.

We don't have a good history with injuries and he seems really brittle

I like the Smith pick... but that's also a problem I'd be happy to deal with...trying to extend 4 first rounders who are good enough to be worth extending.

Trading up from 12 to 10 makes it likely we trade down from 37 IMO. Easy way to recoup a 4th and balance it out.

Wasn't referring to him.  Jaylon Smith makes boneheaded plays but he's a damn good LB.  If LVE can stay healthy that's a legit group.  Parsons is a flat out stud.

I bet Carolina would not have taken the 70 to drop to 12.  Because it took them out of the elite group,

Gettleman bailed immediately when Smith went.  Cowboys made a deal because they couldn’t take another wideout.

Birds did the best they could to secure the last elite difference maker prospect.  I have to give props.

Man I really hate giving up 84. I get why they did it but damn.
