I'm talking about building a young WR group.  That's hardly doing what you can to surround your QB with a group of WR to grow with.

I'm not even a Wentz Washer....just looking at what they did in the draft to help him.

Harrison had about 20 lbs on Smith.   That's not an insignificant difference.  That's more than 10% more weight on Harrison.

 

I don’t know whether there’s a correlation between weight, size and  injury. Durability seems to have more to do with factors other than weight. I think the concern with size has to do with functional strength. Smith has plenty of functional strength.

I'm just glad that someone actually recognizes the risk.   There is risk here.  There has never been an NFL WR his size last in the NFL.

I agree they should have.

Disagree they didn’t know it was out there. They took the clock down to 20 seconds. I think they were fielding calls and were tempted, but ultimately they probably felt as if they already had 2 and possibly 3 firsts next year and it would be better to add a blue chipper this year.

I understand that thought process, but ultimately disagree with it and would have taken the long term view.

Idk they got their QB. They likely don’t want the same thing happening to Wilson that happened to darnold where he got destroyed. AVT and their olineman they picked last year that’s a good start. They really needed oline built up. At least they got two potential studs in becton and AVT
