Harrison had about 20 lbs on Smith.   That's not an insignificant difference.  That's more than 10% more weight on Harrison.

Anything else risks losing out on both Smith and the Bears trade.

I would have been very happy with Smith at 6 the way it played out if we were still there. Gambling even more isn't worth the risk

Frankly the bears first next year could likely be somewhere from 10-20. Add on if Daniel jones sucks now they have two first next year to potentially try and move up for a QB. 

That said gettleman still sucks 

He may have played us like fools too.  Were the Giants REALLY that sold on Smith?  They knew how bad the Eagles wanted him.  Could have been the ultimate smokescreen.  They knew the Bears wanted a QB and needed to move up to get one.

Giants got a freaking haul for 11.

This guy is elite at every level. Elite person too. This is one of the best eagles picks in freaking years. I've never been more happy that Howie went and moved up for him. He is best at moving around the draft. 

We did that Fletcher Cox. That worked out.

I'm not worried about Smith's weight.  If he can separate like he did in college, he'll be fine; it's all about space and separation.

The question is if he can separate like that in the NFL.  Desean may have run a 4.3, but he had the speed of a 4.2 guy at that weight.  Marvin Harrison was a 4.3 guy and a true burner.  

Devonta Smith isn't.

So the question is can he be an elite separator in the NFL?  If he can, throw the weight out the window; it doesn't matter.  If he can't, then he's in for some punishment.

I just despite giving away a top 100 pick. This team has such little talent it’s depressing.

Gotta believe Dallas would’ve taken parson at 10 if the eagles didn’t trade up. I can’t imagine if the bears offered a little more for 10 then they did for 11 they wouldn’t have taken that. I think the bears deal with the giants was likely contingent on if smith went before the giants pick. If the eagles stayed i believe the bears call them trying to trade up with a similar package they offered the giants

In the unlikely event you hit on all first round picks next year, good luck extending them all at the same time.  If you have 4 first round picks, you are pretty much forced to move one of them as part of a trade up or roll back to 2023.  
 

Id still have taken that trade, but we’ll see.  

You absolutely trade back and keep stock piling 1st round picks for future years.
