I actually give credit to gettleman. Frankly i don’t think they needed smith but the pivot from losing out cause the eagles jumped them and getting a 1st next year and 20 from the bears is a pretty good move. Frankly the bears first next year could likely be somewhere from 10-20. Add on if Daniel jones sucks now they have two first next year to potentially try and move up for a QB. 

That said gettleman still sucks 

No brainer pick for the Chargers.

Jones gets drafted by Belicheat and becomes best QB in class.  Book it...

IF you value the Bears trade more than Smith, then you make the trade up to 10 and then move down to 20.

IF you value Smith more, then you make the trade up to 10 and take Smith.

Anything else risks losing out on both Smith and the Bears trade.

The Chargers just play it cool let a great tackle prospect fall into their laps.

The Eagles should have traded up and then took the Bears deal, tbh. Of course they probably had no idea that was out there.

Gettleman bailed immediately when Smith went.  Cowboys made a deal because they couldn’t take another wideout.

Birds did the best they could to secure the last elite difference maker prospect.  I have to give props.

Totally agree in premise.. but neither of them was able to do the things Smith did n the SEC. well, no one ever has. Even when teams knew where the ball was going, they couldn’t stop it. Give me that guy. If he gets injured, I’ll take that risk. 

What was the last good 3rd round player the eagles drafted? Jordan Hicks? Nothing to be that mad about. And we still have a third

We got a generational talent at 10. Devante Adam's and other elite players have been talking about him for two years straight on social media. Go look it up. 

This guy is elite at every level. Elite person too. This is one of the best eagles picks in freaking years. I've never been more happy that Howie went and moved up for him. He is best at moving around the draft. 

We did that Fletcher Cox. That worked out.
