Okay but the Eagles don't operate with the knowledge of what the Giants are being offered. With the available info, it would be unlikely Smith lasts until 12 - so they traded.

Under on both.  No indictment of Smith.  No rookie WR is likely to hit those numbers...only 1-2 sensations do that per year and we aren't that lucky.  And then there is the factor that our starting QB can't pass.

It was rumored we loved Paye. It’s just talk. They also could have loved Smith but loved the trade back more. It’s not mutually exclusive.

Howie, do not say you were going to draft Smith at #6 if you never traded out.  Don't do it.

They used to say every one of their 2nd round picks was the guy they had on their short list for their first round pick.  They used to say the guys they drafted after their trade downs were the ones they were about to draft.

It's the kiss of Howie death for a draft pick.  Don't put that evil on Devonta Smith.

Eagles don’t really target any receiver enough to put up huge numbers.

Hurts I’m skeptical of as a passer.

New coach, new system.

I’ll put him at 800 and 7. Which is fine for a rookie.

Yup.  As much as I'd love to see the team bring in Moehrig, they need to sit pat and hope he falls to them at #37.     They need to trust the board and add talent.

 

And why does Sweet Caroline make me want to throw up all over the place?   Maybe because its the Red Sox thing... and I can't stand them.  or that Neil Diamond ain't my cup of tea.

 

 

And Farley goes off the board.  Good.  I hope he has a nice career, but the risk was WAY too high for him.
