I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I’m 110% for giving Kerryon a look instead of just trotting Jordan Howard out there week 1. Even if they both are cooked it’s at least something and someone new.

I just watched Kerryon Johnson highlights. I never paid attention to him in college, and dont recall much about any Lion's action Ive seen.

He looks like Ajayi running to me. He has a little better top end speed than Ajayi, but lacks acceleration. His yardage comes from nifty footwork and being large enough to run through arm tackles.

He doesnt look like a super athletic RB and shouldnt lose much due to injuries because he didnt have burst to begin with. He looks like he will be able to grind out yardage no matter what. But his biggest runs will top out around 20 yards or so.

He reminds me of Correll Buckhalter.

Sproles was criminally overrated in the passing game during his time here.  He had a horrific catch radius and a really high percentage of his targets ended up hitting the turf.

I don’t think Gainwell has the pinball quickness of a prototypical 3rd down back, but his actual receiving skills and tracking ability befit a WR...better than the WRs we are used to in Philly, actually.

Yup. For a "receiving" running back he had the world's worst hands.  When he did catch it though, he knew what to do with it.

He watches tape on Rodgers hosting Jeopardy to see if he can find a flaw, a limp, a lazy eye, etc...   Just something to give to his defense. Brady probably spiked Rodgers drink at the Derby with some coke and dimed him to Troy Vincent.

How many other best at their position, possibly ever,  lowered the standard of pay by taking way less money than he should of?   Unselfish, yea right, he watches more tape in March than most scouts do in November. If it was up to him TB’s camp would start in March and end the last week of August.

Just go with gainwell as far as I’m concerned. Find kids.

Does Gainwell have the potential to have a Westbrook-like impact on the offense?

Michael Carter is the most Westbrook-like I’ve seen in a while but went 43 picks before Gainwell. AFC East going to be competitive in a year or 2 ... finally

6th round QBs have a higher win percentage than 1st round QBs during the salary cap era .

I know because of one guy

That's a big ass stogie you're puffing on.  What is it?  I appreciate a good stogie now and then.  My BIL's family does the Italian 7 fish dinner on xmas eve and a couple times it's been at his and my sister's home and he has this one guy who married into the family who is big into cigars and good Whiskeys/Bourbons so we usually sit in the open garage and smoke stogies and drink good Whiskeys on xmas eve.  It's a nice combo, along with getting your face stuffed with seafood and pasta in red sauce beforehand.

Romeo v Julieta 1875 reserve.  It's absolutely one of my favorites.  It's a great smoke, it burns evenly, draws nice, and stays lit. There is nothing like a nice cigar and a good whiskey (scotch for me) after a great meal.

He looks like Demarco Murray to me, not here but with the cowboys, not quite as big but similar running style.

Hopefully he's got more heart than Demarco had here.

That too.

Cup of green tea , and a few hits of purple urkle for me , and I’m good .

Buckhalter had a lot more juice though

They do need that bigger three down style back to complement Sanders/Gainell I think.

A little bigger too

Buckhalter, Yeldon, Murray, Johnson all have a similar style.  Why is it hard to describe?  It's very noticeable in the similarities.

I dont think it matters that much to describe but he looks like our version of Ajayi to me and Im sticking to it. Its the most accurate, most recent eagles relevant comparison.

I think he has a little bit more wiggle than Ajayi.  Need to see how he looks now though.

It's all fine for the one year, this year will be a long season and I expect to be picking top 5. As long as he is healthy with no repercussions from previous injuries there's no reason to not take a flier since the position is lacking.

Yeah, Ajayi had a little most burst and power I think too.

Like adding him but with a waiver claim arent we stuck with his contract for a second rounder? Whats he making?

1.3mil.  Only stuck if he makes the team it's not guaranteed

I had an idea that I wanted to rewatch all games from last season in FULL. I’m not sure if I’m nuts or not.
