No. He did look upset on the sideline that we were tanking the game.

Pretty sure he was also complaining on that sideline but whatever. I don’t care enough to argue it

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Didn’t Hurts complain about getting benched for Sudfeld?

You mean when he was confused as to why Doug wasn't trying to win the game?

Ejections just about never happen when a seatbelt is used.  Why people don’t use seat belts or helmets on bikes makes no sense to me.  After seeing almost four decades of carnage resulting from non use, I just don’t get it.  Allowing that to happen to a child is criminal.

Could have been much worse , four other children, ages 2-months, 6, 9, 10, and a 34-year-old woman,  were also in the minivan , car flipped and slid a couple hundred yards before stopping

It wasn't clear that Hurts was leading us back to a win either.

He looked more angry than confused but okay

Agreed.  But why not compete?

That said, I had no problem when it happened.  But I'm not a player that spent a whole week preparing to try to win the game.

But that's the point.  Wentz played like the worst QB in the NFL last year.  Depending on what reports you believe, he may or may not have been a malcontent who disregarded coaching.  Then they tried to keep him happy in the offseason and he wanted out.

That's not earning a job.  It's a lack of options.

I suppose. Wanting the job seems something of a prerequisite. Not wanting it seems like a disqualifier.

Maybe, Doug though replacing an ineffective QB was trying to win.  We definitely weren't making good progress with Hurts in there.

I don't have any issue with it either.  We were playing  horribly.

Interesting that both Dickerson and Seumalo will have Center numbers,

All players must wear numerals on their jerseys in accordance with Rule 5, Section 3, Article 3c (see NOTE 1), and such numerals must be by playing position as follows: quarterbacks, punters, and placekickers, 1-19 (and 10-19 for wide receivers if 80-89 are all otherwise assigned); running backs and defensive backs, 20-49; centers, 50-59 (60-79 if 50-59 unavailable); offensive guards and tackles, 60-79; wide receivers and tight ends, 80-89; defensive lineman, 60-79 (90-99 if 60-79 unavailable); and linebackers 50-59 (90-99 if 50-59 unavailable).

NFL owners have approved a rule change that would allow more players to wear single-digit numbers, according to The MMQB's Albert Breer.

The rule change, which was initially proposed by the Chiefs, would allow running backs, tight ends and wide receivers to wear any number from one to 49 as well as 80–89. Defensive backs will also now be permitted to wear numbers 1–49 while linebackers can wear jerseys between 1-59 and 90-99.

The league's new number ranges are as followed:

Quarterback, punter, kicker: 1–19
Running back: 1–49, 80–89
Defensive back: 1–49
Linebacker: 1–59, 90–99
Offensive lineman: 50–79
Defensive lineman: 50–79, 90–99

He posts daily tik toks of him working out. If that's not earning the job I don't know what is.

Dude.  Set the time on your Betamax.  The rules have been updated.

Here are the new NFL jersey number regulations, which were approved last month:

  • Quarterback: 1-19
  • Running back/wide receiver/tight end: 1-49, 80-89
  • Offensive line: 50-79
  • Defensive line: 50-79, 90-99
  • Linebacker: 1-59, 90-99
  • Cornerback/safety: 1-49
  • Kicker/punter: 1-19

All of this talk about rest between games is irrelevant. The length of the season is the same for all teams. Having short rest for one game means that you have extra rest for the next. It all evens out in the end.

What does matter, when it comes to days off, is the particular opponent. With a short week of rest, is the upcoming opponent a divisional rival on the road, or is it a relatively meaningless AFC team that we're hosting? Likewise, I'd gladly take a short week to play a team if the following opponent is a divisional rival. Like I said, the number of rest days are the same for every team. What matters is who you play, and when you play them.

It does matter if rest in between games favors the opponent with more rest.  The amount of rest in between games varies from team to team.  The Eagles playing 3 straight games against teams coming off of a bye week is not something averages out in the end when they only get to play one team that has had a shorter week of rest.

I want a WR with #49.

Not sure about complaining but the cameras caught him saying "that's messed up" or something like that.

From what reports say, the locker room likes Hurts and believes in him.  Ginger on the other hand, not so much.  I really feel like Howie and Jeff wanted to keep Wentz but he lost the locker room so they had no choice.  Some like Kelce and Cox supported Wentz but majority just didnt believe in him.

Wentz helped give the vets their ring and they saw how good he was in 2017.

All the players that showed up afterwards didn't have that perspective.

Seumalo with 56 no.  Leave that for a LB or DE

Seems like the NFL is trying to be more like the college game with all the college type offenses and now the jersey numbers changing to single digits which is fine with me but they should use the college rules for OT then as well.
