Something bad would need to happen. 

Falcons, 49ers, Panthers and Raiders are all winnable games.  Maybe Dallas too but I think they are significantly better than us at least right out the gate early in the season. 

 

The opportunity to have 3 feature games on week 18.

They are winnable but they aren't going to be favorites. All road games besides 49ers, who should be highly improved from last year.

That said, I had no problem when it happened.  But I'm not a player that spent a whole week preparing to try to win the game.

He spent a whole week knowing he was going to get pulled at half time...he actually got more time than expected in the game.

Why are 49ers going to be highly improved? 

I don't think home or away really means much anymore in the NFL and recent years have shown that with home/road wins/losses across the NFL.  Hurts will need to get hurt and we have Flacco taking over early and the defense unable to stop anyone at all for us to start 0-7.  We have one of the easiest schedules in the league.

Uh, for starters Nick Mullens wont be their starting QB. They also are getting Nick Bosa back.

Yup.  He was told, he knew it was coming.  But, when the harsh reality arrived... it was shocking?   With only 35% completions, a failed opportunity in the RZ starting at the 15 yard line, and a passer rating of 25?  Nah... nothing shocking about that.   Remove his legs and that might have been the worst QB performance of the day.
