Even if we ALL vax, this is going to be around for at least 5 years and it will continue to kill in the tens of thousands in the US alone.  The pandemic is no f'ing joke. The unvaxed are ankles deep towards mass extinction event.

If you have unvaccinated family members who are eligible, encouraging them to get vaccinated is by far the best thing you can do to help keep them safe. If you have kids under 12, look into buying some kids sized kn95 masks if you haven't already. They're not cheap, but it's a small price to pay if it ends up being the difference between a negative test result and a positive one.

The bickering will continue until this is under control.  If I have learned anything, the only way pandemics end is by immunity.  Whether vaccinated or natural.  Saw where a specialist said a couple more months.  Hope she is also right about the northeast not seeing Delta as bad due to high percentage of vaccinated folks.  IF, this holds true thru the years end, then can I come back in here and punch some throats?

My grandparents got vaxxed in like Feb or whenever they started taking care of the 70+. My mom and sister are both part of the anti-vaxx and super pro-trump. I sent my mom the posts about trump being vaxxed, telling the people in alabama to get vaxxed, and even the FPA approval and even when these people would have used LACK of those things as the reason to not get vaxxed, when those circumstances all change they then find some new reason to not do it or those situations all being reversed don't reverse their opinon.

They came to Minneapolis in early June (a pretty well-vaxxed area IMO) and we were at the mall a few times, the zoo, and shoulder to shoulder with tons randos at two separate Twins games.... but 2 weeks from now we are going to Orlando and will be in amusement parks all day, so we'll see if the FL variant kills them or not.

Both.  the answer is both.  Every single one of us is going to get it sooner or later and most of us will more than once.  The vaxed have 5-10x better chance to survive.
