If its new, thats concerning. Shouldnt they be way, way past that type of conversation after playing 20 some games together last season? It kinda sounds like day 1 there.

I think we overestimate how much communication happens in the off season. Doesn't sound like they talked at all.

Its incredibly discouraging to hear how much it still sounds like they are having trouble gelling. And its not just Harden/Embiid, they mentioned Tobi and Maxey looking like theyre struggling too. 

I understand 20 games or whatever it was that theyve had together isnt going to be enough time to be perfect and have all this non-verbal communication worked out. But it should be WAY beyond the very basic level of what was discussed in those clips. 

Harden was a pumpkin last year. He was never getting doubled teamed. The spacing will be much better this year, especially now that Maxey has a couple moves in addition to being a 3 point threat.
