Like, what the F

Which is the proper discussion to have?

1. Is he the best prospect since LeBron?

or

2. Is he a better prospect than LeBron?

It seems like #2 to me.

We think Durant is a cheat code with his skills at 6'11''. Here is an even 6'' taller version of Durant. Who also blocks shots like college Anthony Davis.

1  and 2. Lebron has lived up to the hype and then some so those are big shoes.

Is not a good track record with knees with guys above 7 foot so that is a concern

hes certainly very skinny right now so the Chet Holmgren type issue exists. Chet is already hurt, to no one's surprise.

Imagine that may happen to this guy at some point.

But whenever he finally gets some girth and hits the ground running, hes just gonna be amazing.  Youve got a guy with more defensive length than Giannis, more height and all of the offensive skill of Durant.

Cant say what he will be as a finished product. 6ers could draft him and he forgets how to shoot like happened with both Fultz and Simmons.

But it certainly appears his ceiling is higher than both LeBron's and Durant's.

Simmons knew how to shoot at some point?

Yes.  Go watch him in high school.  His form was infinitely better than what we saw by year 2 in the NBA.

He stopped shooting when he got to LSU. It's really weird.

In high school because of his size and speed, he probably dominated on both sides of the floor. He probably took mostly layups and dunks but had the confidence to shoot because he was so much superior.

As he progressed through college and the nba, that advantage shrunk and he had to learn how to adapt to continue to get better.

Just as he was showing his ability to add multiple layers to his game, he was diagnosed with chronic back issues and mental illnesses. If it weren’t for those issues, he would be a top 5 player today. You have to feel for a guy like that. All the drive in the world, good person, love of the game and he gets hit with bad luck!

I was expecting laughing emojis but I guess my joke wasn’t that funny. I was being totally sarcastic.

He could shoot but some mental block had to have happened that he stopped shooting.

No. Go to youtube and watch his shooting form in high school (solid form) and then think of what we saw with the 6ers.

I think iirc he may have even still had decent shooting form in summer league.

It definitely changed a ton between high school, and when he finally played real games for the 6ers after his foot injury.

It was completely unnoticed because Fultz happened and stole everyones focus.

Not sure how I feel about him playing more..... It's not like he all of a sudden has a healthy track record.

They are playing year round either way in workouts, pro ams, national games, or open runs.

I hate it.

But Id prefer it if the choice is between France or USA.

Also, that france team is really nice. Batum, Fournier, Wembanyama, possibly Embiid, and Gobert.

🤣

Do they even make it through the preseason before reports of Durant ripping Simmons in the locker room start to appear?

I'm a fan of that move

I think he is an NBA player as well. Only gets credit for being a white dunker but can play.

I think potential as a good energy bench scorer. I see potential to be a more athletic Grayson Allen. Maybe its the whiteness that makes me compare those two. But I think there is that scoring potential on offense that Allen has.

I think/hope that Springer is in trouble. Can easily see McClung taking his spot as the developmental guard that eventually ends up on the roster.

I don't think that is a good comparison. Grayson is a a wing player. Who is a good defender, and a career 39.5% 3p shooter.

To me Mac is in the Tyler Herro/Jordon Poole type player, but not as good. They are all the true definition of a combo guard, can both run an offense at times or play off a guy.

His lack of size is the only thing that is holding him back. 6'2" with a 6'2" wingspan, so can hold up on defensive side especially playing next two not great defenders in Maxey and Harden.

He is best out in space so if Sixers find a combo of players that like to run then he would fit in.
