Said it months ago. I would bet Dame would want to go to the biggest or 2nd biggest basketball market even over playing with Embiid. Knicks signed a ton of guys but all under tradable numbers.

yeah. IF Lillard ever does ask out people here are going to be very disappointed when he requests a trade to NY specifically. After all that waiting, and passing up great offers....Still wont land him.

Bassey is signing a 1 year non-guaranteed tender.

Can't agree on a contract witha guy who has been undeservingly handed a roster spot.

The only way it makes sense to wait it out for Lillard is if you're comfortable with the possibility of that not happening, in which case the Sixers run it back next year with Ben on the roster.

I don't know how they could be ok with that.  There's nothing to suggest that anything positive would have changed since last year, and then Ben's value goes even lower.

This makes so little sense

And with all of the above mentioned,  also remember they paid 2 million to buy that pick to draft him.

Yes this FO is still a mess even with Morey "in charge".

He's either washed, or far too limited by Doc and ownership.

Yup they are going to go into the season and watch Ben after everything that happened and had a whole summer to work on it and then watch him still not shoot and still do the same stupid sheet. It will be at that point that teams realize how lazy and horrible really is and further proving he isn't going to turn it around.

what morey is doing is not good management, if dame isnt available, you just dont keep ben and risk hurting your team until he becomes available then all heck will break lose and we are back to the tanking years. what you do is trade him for the best package available, play whoever you traded for a year and see what star is available regardless of age and trade your assets for that player either at the trade deadline or the offseason.

Struggling to understand the strategy behind holding onto Simmons while allowing him to torpedo his own trade value.

spite? Just the audacity of him to be calling the shots through this entire ordeal is mind numbing.

Least surprising thing I've read today.  We all saw this coming.  I really hope Morey has a 'break glass in case of emergency' deal worked out with a team for this situation.

Looks like we are going to find out sooner rather than later.

Ben Simmons let it be known that he wants out.

In a meeting with the 76ers last week in Los Angeles, Simmons told team co-managing partner Josh Harris, president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, general manager Elton Brand and coach Doc Rivers that he no longer wants to remain a Sixer, according to multiple sources.

Sources said the three-time All-Star also does not intend to report to training camp.

A team spokesman declined to comment.

Simmons is fully aware the Sixers can fine him for holding out and failing to show up to training camp. But a source said money will not play a role in the decision-making for Simmons, who has four years and $147 million remaining on his deal.

I’d be happy just letting him rot and be fined for four years.

Pompey is on with Mikey Miss right now and says that per his source, Doc's response the night of the elimination game when asked if Ben could be a PG on a Championship team was the breaking point for Ben.

Pompey thinks the CJ McCollum deal is the most likely.

Ben couldn't be a point guard on a little league team.  Part of their responsibility is to shoot and actually do something in the half court besides pick their @SS

The 6ers did Biden a favor.  They Fd up the Simmons situation worse than Biden Fd up his "perfect withdrawl".

Source: There’s a high chance that Tyrese Maxey will be a part of any Ben Simmons trade. Rich Paul would like both of his clients out of Philadelphia.

I dont think so!
