Our Jack Russell named McNabb passed away in his sleep over Labor Day weekend. Still miss him every day.

We have a Goldendoodle named Ivy now -- I tend to call her Iverson when she gets into trouble.

My current turd burglar is Carson Elliot de la Embiid (then about 15 other philly icon names).

In real time before the catch, I had a brief memorial for DG's ribs because of how it looked at first.  Once it dropped though I changed my tune, it looked far worse at first.

Sure.  Can't judge it until you see it.  He floated it for sure, but perfectly to drop it over the LB, landed before the safety could get there.   Really hard to criticize that throw, especially with the defender in his face as he released it.

They need to throw some qualifiers on there because that is misleading as hell.

Right? How many throws does he have to the middle of the field, legitimately. Seven?

Looking more and more like we're going to have 3 mid-round 1st round picks.  3 Derek Barnett type picks.  I will say this.  I'm 100% anti trading 1st round picks for a veteran QB.  The sting would hurt less the worse these picks get however.  Still, in no way do I want to part with them.

If the season ended today, the Eagles would have picks 12, 13 and 17.

See what you and i want is likely not what howie and lurie will want. I still stand by the fact lurie has routinely shown and even said publicly how much he values the QB position and not having a franchise QB means you aren’t competing for anything. I think they’ll talk themselves into being aggressive for Wilson/watson and try to make it happen. I think they’ll fail ultimately but i think they’ll be very aggressive on that front.

Sometimes the TV angles are very deceiving for sure.  That was an absolute dime.  I can't think of any other passes though that 'meet the criteria'

So it's become very clear that Sirianni is able to scheme guys open. I think we've all acknowledged that throughout the year. The problem early in the year was asking Hurts to throw so often, he just can't do it (but I guess we didn't know for sure until we knew). Even on both of Goedert's TDs, Minshew still underthrew him. Good throws ultimately, but it really made me turn the corner on acquiring a Wilson/Watson. Of course both have their own issues, otherwise they wouldn't really even be available. But combine either one with an upgrade at RB (a young, legit bruiser like a Najee Harris type who can handle a full workload), and this offense becomes very dangerous.

In no way is it 'up for grabs', but rather perfectly placed with touch.

Yup, gets even better the more you watch it.  My GF about had a heart attack on this play, she had just walked in the door and me screaming scared the poop out of her lol.

There was a lot of close predictions this week within a few points of the final score, but @jamiller edged everyone out with a prediction of 33-16. This is his third weekly win, which times him with @Iggles25 for the season lead.

Bonus prediction winners:

@Alphagrand Minshew 68%+

@bpac55 Elijah Riley impact play

@EaglePhan1986 Minshew passing TD (prediction was made before Hurts was ruled questionable/Out)

@LeanMeanGM Minshews mustache is mentioned 2+ times during broadcast

@Swoop Minshew makes a throw Hurts can only dream of

@vikas83 Eagles rush for 150+ yards

I’m just happy to be here. Hope I can help the ball club.

Lol what the hell was that safety doing? He should've lit up Goedert right in the ribs.

And therein lies the rub.  The team is owned by a corporation instead of a billionaire.  They are a nameless and faceless group, where an owner (or even a small ownership group) has a name/s and face/s that fans can direct their ire towards.  Having Comcast own the Flyers is like shouting at the sky because you don't like the weather that day.  Pointless.  As long as that team/investment makes them money they don't really care about winning a Cup.

Yep; return on investment will always be the priority

Yep.  Hurts definitely cannot "spin it".

You sure?

Playoff machine is live, though if we go back to Hurts I really don't care

Hurts played for 4 season in college, starting for Alabama and Oklahoma. He's a coaches son, he's been surrounded by top coaches through his playing career. He's not some QB that only had a year starting or coming from a smaller school and has a bunch of unknowns to his game. He is what he is at this point. I don't see him developing into a better passer against 4 divisional games.

If the Eagles FO main objective is to better their draft status they will stick with Hurts. If they want to take a shot at the playoffs they need to role with Minshew.

@pallidrone

Said a pass to Goedert was 'up for grabs'... can't figure it out, but it has to be this one he means.

Haha what's more sad is that's not the only time he's done that...

20+ in the middle he's 2/2, one being a TD.

Woo hoo, better than league average!!

Sorry to hear about McNabb, they’re better than people (as you can see by these boards 😆).
Give Ivy a treat from me for stirring s___ up around the house.😂

Yup.  I wanted to find some of the others, but couldn't quickly... He's done it at least twice with a FULL 360.... but might have been more than 2.

You said the same about Felisha's kid...I prefer to give some of these kids time before we anoint them.  The college/draft game is such a fickle beast though.  You have kids like Barkley being the 'next Montana' going in the 4th after 2 years of hype.  Then on the other hand you have Trevor Lawrence who mechanically regressed every year keeping up the golden child status.

Who is felisha ?

I remember 3. Almost positive one was against the Lions. The other was maybe Raiders?

Some feckless hump who thinks Hurts can still improve as a passer, lol. I can't imagine they still exist

This is kind of the thinking I’ve been under that howie and lurie will have. And why they’d be aggressive in those market. I also don’t think it’s out of the question to convince Wilson (and less extent watson) that this offensive line is a top 10 offensive line in the league next year so they’re going to be protected. Plus you can sell them on the fact you have some nice young weapons Dallas goedert, Devonta Smith and miles Sanders/gainwell for next year. Plus you can still add some talent around them the next couple of years. If i were howie and lurie and hellbent on getting one of them that would be my selling point along with look what we did this year (I’m guessing they win 8/9 games) without a QB of your caliber.
