Thats fair, but a good player/bad pick still beats a bad player/good pick  in my eyes

It makes no sense to call a good player a bad pick. None.

LOL @ Lurie getting up and addressing the team for Dallas week. My god, he would just go on and on and on, droning about nothing until the team falls asleep.

That's my mistake for suggesting it....I need to take it back.  It's a very bad idea.

Finnegans Garage is good.  If you like Alex Taylor, you might like Vice Grip Garage.  She raced with Derek a few times.  I recently got in to the Donut stuff.  Lots of good content.  Cletus McFarland is decent but I'm getting a bit tired of watching drifting and burnouts.  Show me builds and such.

Yup Vice grip is decent, Cleetus in small doses... LOL

I watch a ton of Motortrend stuff  Roadkill, Roadkill Garage, Engine Masters, Hot Rod Garage, the Hoopti Challenges etc...

There was no reason for him to cut back that was a wide open hole. Easy read he didn’t see it.

It wasn't a good decision.  I just was describing what I noticed.  If he had just followed Mailata full steam he likely gains at least 15 yards.

he is saying that even though DG is a good player it was a bad pick because it wasn't area of need.
I am saying, I would rather have that over any Bad PLayer we picked in an area of need, any day, and 2x on sunday.

Rick Beato is pretty cool and he has some good breakdowns.

Have you tried NBA top shot ?

No I havent.

The way I understand it is you get a pack, like buying a pack of cards. And by luck some might be rare but others are not.

I have heard that Draftkings marketplace has 2-3x as many users. It seems like the NFTs are all the same there. But there is a limited number and with the amount of users/demand, the price increases. They have so far only released elite athletes. Theres been Jeter, Gretzky, Tiger, Tony Hawk, Tom Brady, Osaka, Simone Biles

I kind of like the idea of knowing what you are getting and knowing even the athletes of less popular sports like Biles and Osaka are already 2-3x initial price for the cheapest ones. Like a 12 dollar one at release is going for about 36. The more expensive ones are going for much more.

Im afraid to drop whatever like 50 bucks on a pack of top shots and get just trash. Can that happen? Or are they all going to make you money?

So listening to a couple of podcasts while driving today…

* Cosell mentioned no real flow to the offensive game plan vs SF.

* They had a shot play to Reagor dialed up against cover 3. They had a deep dig/cross to try to draw in the single high safety so Reagor could win on the deep post vs the outside leverage of the CB. The safety didn’t bite unfortunately.

* Avant thought a key reason why the Philly Special didn’t work with Hurts is because teams key on athletic QBs anyway. Foles wasn’t a threat, so it was more of a surprise.

* Avant also noted that Reagor‘s route on the called back TD was a bad one. He needed to get vertical. He said you either move the corner where you want him or you go through him. You never run around. Mikel said Undlin used to have a red line painted near the sideline as a target for corners to direct the WRs to on go routes for that exact reason.

I think Goedert gets put on the franchise tag for 2022; they could have extended Mailata and Goedert and waited on Sweat, but the tag value for DE is currently much higher for DE than it is for TE -- about $17.7M for DE compared to only $10.6 for a TE.

I'm still hopeful the direction is for Goedert to stay and Ertz to be gone but we'll see how it plays out.  I think the Eagles are making a mistake having Ertz here this season, but that's JMO.

We can draft good players in every round.  Doesn’t make it a good pick for that particular spot.   :wacko:

The lengths people go to, to defend the distinction

but if we pick a good player it still beats picking a bust, even if the need wasn't glaring or do you not agree?

Im skeptical. Usually female announcers are extremely annoying.

I don't know what a bad player/good pick is.

You’ll never forgive Taylor for essentially saying he wants to play really fast, huh?

I just want to see him on the field.  Then we can discuss his play.  Right now, all we have is that quote and a hamstring injury followed by a calf strain.

Hate it.  Just don't enjoy female announcers of men's sports.  Have yet to hear one that I liked.

They should have gotten Tom McGinnis from the radio broadcast.

Listen to this video from 0:14-0:24

If we get anything like this, Im not sure Ill be able to watch 76ers games. This is a Maxey highlight video, but that woman was so insufferable for that entire game.

If it costs resources and doesn't actually improve the team... yeah, not sure how its a good pick.  You don't draft a player to sit behind a Pro Bowler for his entire rookie deal, with your first pick in a draft, leaving yourself with the decision of paying top shelf money for a guy that you've never seen in the lead role.  He's basically been a Trey Burton type player, but he's going to command big money... because "potential".

I could change it to good player, bad decision if you prefer.  Bad roster construction.  Bad use of resources.  Whichever you prefer.

Another reason I just want to do draft kings is because I already have money in there for the sportsbook. So I dont need to create another account somewhere else. All my money can be in one place.

Im annoyed the drops always seem to happen at 3pm and thats right when I get very busy. Eventually Ill get some.

Not just not an area of need, but they seemed to have no sucession plan.  If Ertz had been moved at some point in these 4 years and Goedert became the top guy, it makes sense.  Lito Shepard and Sheldon Brown weren't needs when they were selected, but they were before the end of their rookie deals.  Goedert remains second fiddle.  Added to the fact that it isnt a premier position.   #2 TEs are mid to late round picks and UDFAs, not 2nd round picks.

I think TSN in Canada did an all-female broadcast for the Raptors last season; I didn't watch as I'm not really an NBA fan.

They've hired female color commentators for the NHL up here -- I'm obviously a chauvinist because I don't even listen closely enough to evaluate their analysis.
