Nah, the cap isn't a problem.  Howie has it under control, he knows what he's doing.

Alshon Jeffery sitting on his couch with 2 million dollars from the eagles this season determined that is a lie. 😝🤷🏻‍♂️

Not at all, he's doing more for this team this year than the last two.

Eagles cut Bruce Walker (2nd round pick) coming out of TC his rookie year.  He was given #92 to wear at first in training camp, before Lurie caught it and had him change.

Wasn’t he like pick #40 overall?

I know we're all going to do it, but looking at him from a game to game standpoint is going to drive a lot of people nuts. The flashes are there and they were last year too. The problem has always been consistency with him. If we look at just Atlanta, he was good. San Fran was meh. If we look at just Dallas, he was bad. If we look at just yesterday, he was good. The problem is so far hasn't had good back to back complete games.

Well such is the life of an Eagles' fan.  He has had one very good game against Atlanta.  He had an OK game yesterday.  The rest of his games have included some flashes but it's been more bad than good.

On that play yeah, Dillard was blocking that defender.

Now if Hurts instead tried to hit Quez down the field but got the ball stripped out because that defender was coming behind as he was stepping up to go to Watkins then all you people would be ****ing and moaning as to why he didn't just take the easy dump off to Gainwell for the first down.

Taking the check down was an improvement from last season. He made a positive play.  That does show improvement.  I think the question is whether he can ever be the type of QB that executes the more difficult throw but has a better result.   Where do you think Mahomes, Watson, Rodgers or Brady would have thrown the ball? I think that's what we have to look at when we analyze his play.  I don't know that Hurts will ever progress to being able to make that downfield throw to Watkins.

Those guys would anticipate, based on the defensive formation right before the snap, that Watkins will be most likely to come open.  Reading and recognition

Better yet, don't hold the football so long like an idiot and be unable to read the field. Grip it and rip it.

And he has just as many targets and catches as JJAW through 4 games.

But how many of those 7 were catchable?

That wasnt his point.  The point is that he's getting more looks than Reagor regardless of draft position.

Actually, it is a very real problem.

I know that, I'm legitimately asking.

Howie Roseman bad.   That was one of his prized free agents this past year.   Anthony Harris has also been a revelation.

Pretty sure I saw him immediately turn his back to Tyreek Hill after about 3 steps for no reason, and then Hill cuts the opposite way than he turned.....wide open TD.  No idea what he was doing...I think that was Hills 2nd TD

Didn't they bring in a QB coach specifically for Hurts?

yeah this team has way bigger issues then QB , but i guess that's the easy out.

Thank you. For example, the organization needs to stop with the "Hybrid" crap at LB that has been the trend in HS football and recognize that pro football still needs beef. The D would look entirely different if they had a couple LBs who could stop a runner at the point of attack. Ugh.

So the heavy set boy who for our purposes we'll call Jeffro, and the skinny younger brother who if I do recall was named Howard after some man who used to build aeroplanes in Texas, made wild movies about them Red Baron types and play lots of golf in a place called the Dessert Inn .....

so uh the heavy set boy decides one day he'd like to play some Lawn Darts.

What in the actual F are you talking about?

I don’t get just letting Jalen play this year and then draft studs for a year or two with high picks then get our guy. It’s not like he is playing like Wentz did last year.

I get that some people don't like Hurts' style of playing QB... and I get that some people have already made up there minds about him based on "a feel" and their "football sense"...  and it may well turn out to be the case...

But to say "the problem has always been consistency with him" strikes me as absurd... he's started EIGHT games in the NFL...  that's not much of an "always"...  nearly all young QBs would be inconsistent over that time frame...

I thought that Hurts, and the offense in general, played what I would call "a game to build on" yesterday...  that's what we should be looking for this year...  building on something...  because if we don't, we'll be in QB hell for a while yet to come...  that'll be fun...

I assumed he was also taking into Hurts college games

Great signing.  Howie is working on Exec of the Year again.
