I’d personally take Kirk Cousins over Carr.  I’m almost certain Carr wears makeup.

That’s that white boy drip

Want to talk about a franchise that is a QB factory… drafted brees. Drafted Philip rivers (technically Eli Manning). And then drafted Justin herbert. Come a long ways since drafting Ryan leaf.

At least they used pretty high picks on all besides Brees. Dallas just somehow falls ass backwards into QBs.

Oh good job buddy. You should write a letter to Lowie and call them poopheads

That’s true. You seem like more of a lipstick only guy Buffalo Bill!

Imagine how the course of history is changed if Saban gets his guy in Drew Brees as the head coach of the Dolphins.  One shoulder MRI changes the course of history for college football, and now Alabama football fans plague the earth in Dallas-like numbers.

Mind blown. Talk about a butterfly effect. As a UGA alum, think the Dawgs would have a couple more National Championships under their belt.

And then we don’t lose to the Saints in the 2006 divisional round

Maybe.  I think Brees became Brees because of Payton, and visa versa.

His last two seasons with the Chargers were pretty good

The crazy part is how much stronger his arm got after getting 12-13 screws in his right shoulder, it’s unheard of for anyone that  has a career throwing anything,  that they can come back from that surgery and play at a high level for the next 14-15 years.  I wonder if he saw Lanes guy after his surgery.

Interesting tidbit...

Andy Reid beat the Chiefs all three times when he was the coach of the Eagles and beat the Eagles all three times when he was the coach of the Chiefs.

As an Eagles fan and a Braves fan, this graphic is equally troubling and gratifying 🤣

Just watched some highlights from the colts game, Matt pryor was playing RT for the colts. They pulled Davenport who was apparently awful at RT and starting in place of smith

Hilarious since you’ve been slobbering all over him for no apparent reason. He had a decent game yesterday.  The entire game plan was catered to his strengths and it worked against a terrible defense, and he still missed wide open weapons more than once for TDs.

I just witnessed Herbert make multiple plays in 1 drive that Hurts does not have to talent or the cognitive ability to make.  He won’t "learn” how to make those plays.  The tight spiral on a rope to Mike Williams followed by his ability to go through multiple progressions and bait safeties with his eyes. Hurts can’t do that, and he’s not going to learn how to do that.  By his 2nd progression, he’s frantically running around with his head down.  But please send us all more stats about how those stats compare with other stats.

Well said.

I'll bet Wentz was overjoyed when he walked into the building

"0 RINGS" Jersey held up by a Raiders fan.

Can't say I miss those digs when they used to be aimed at us.

Ummm they do have a ring. maybe "0 rings lately" would make more sense.

He said Raiders. So they were taunting the Chargers? Good glad they lost then (also I hate Gruden and his dumb chucky faces)

Most people here thought he was trash in the draft.

Most people here were hyping him by the end of his rookie season.

Yup.

A Packers vs Chargers SB game would be really fun to watch

Give me Cardinals/Chargers.   I'm over Rodgers and don't need to see him in the Super Bowl, on top of all the stupid commercials.  I'd love to see another city finally break through and get that elusive championship, so since it won't be the Eagles... might as well root for the misery of another fan base to be assuaged.

I would be OK with Stafford getting there but for McVay.

Agree on Rodgers. He's a huuuuge dewsh if you want my opinion. Talented but still a dewsh

The follow up question becomes: Are you content with passing on drafting QB (because no worthy QB’s seem to be available in 2022), stocking up on talent, NOT TRADING UP, and looking to solve the QB problem (assuming there is one) in 2023?

10 hours ago, Connecticut Eagle said:

Yes, if the assumptions are true - Hurts shows something and the alternatives in the draft aren't compelling.

JMHO

When you dont have a franchise QB, you really have very little chance of winning a championship.  So you are just wasting time and resources. There are outliers, which takes a generational Defense to win it all, but the high % of SB's have been won by a team with a franchise caliber QB.

We dont have one, we would be catching lightning in a bottle to think Hurts will be one. (But he has this season to see if we did catch lightning in a bottle or not) AT the end of the season, we will need to address the QB situation, if nothing good available in the draft, and we missed out on Rodgers, Watson or the possibility of Wilson, then it is what it is, but you gotta go hard after a franchise type QB, when you dont have one. You have too.

When there is a franchise type QB avail, and you dont have one, (the most important position in all of sports), you have to go hard after the prize.  Because not having one means you basically are wasting time and are irrellevant. (current state, also state of most of the 90's and the 2010's)

I have heard people discuss you build the team first and then get your Franchise QB,  which assumes you will be able to find one when you have the team built, and keep the team together while your QB develops. To me thats arse backwards thinking. You need to get your franchise QB and build around him. Never stop trying to get your franchise QB no matter what the costs. The #'s tell you, YOU CANNOT WIN WITHOUT ONE!

The Chargers just highlight how little investment the Eagles have made in the draft on defensive playmakers and the money wasted in FA on average players covering up that up.  I'd love to hear what Lowie think of how the Chargers roster is built and their cap position. Sigh.

The problem the Eagles have is we don't have a Franchise QB and also don't have a roster youth and cap position to churn out older players.  Getting a Franchise QB in their prime won't materially change the teams trajectory in the short term and exacerbate an awful cap position.  The issue is Lowie are deluded in the belief they can catch lightning in a bottle again and go on another run by tinkering with the roster on 1 year deals, rather than accepting it will be 2 more off-seasons and drafts to get the team in a position to win multiple playoff games.
