Honestly that's where I stand as well. And I love Lane. I think the sentimental part of my fandom has completely had the oomph beat out of it at this point.

Me too, I got behind Sirianni and I don't know what to think of him, I got behind Hurts and he is in the same boat. Howie is still here and I just don't care what they do anymore.

@downundermike still wild baseless conspiracy to speculate if he's going to retire?

That’s cool cause that guy thinks the Colts are going to to convince Wentz he should be benched. I mean a guy who came back from a foot injury, and two sprained ankles will willingly want to be benched according to that dope so take anything he writes with a grain of salt. He’s been whining for like five years about the cap. One day he will eventually be right I guess. 😂🤣🤣

If Lane is not back this year, Driscol needs to be at RT where is a STUD,  with Jordan at LT....

A stud? He has 6 career starts and a troubling injury history.  It looks like they’re sticking with Dillard at LT and keeping Mailata in Lane’s spot against the Buccaneers.

Does that really need to be asked?

Bricked Chase Young on his first start at RT, looked very good against KC and have performed above avg whenever he played RT.. He had a few injury issue over the span of 6 games., that was never a problem in college so he will get better, he is probably the best RT on the team after Lane imo.

It's apparently really bad, more important than a game meant for entertainment. The Eagles top security agent went to help & escort him back.

Whatever this is, it's his business. He's been a F'ing BEAST of a player and hard worker. He wouldn't miss games if it weren't really something crucial. Instead of being critical and an a-hole, you should be praying & hoping he is ok.

dillard has a pff of 71.2.  Thats 20/73 tackles.   That's quite sufficient, and dillard isn't really capable anywhere else.  driscoll 69.5. mailata 75.9.

Dillard at LT,  Mailata at RT,  except when they put Mailata somewhere else, situationally, and they can put Driscoll in at RT when Mailata is doing something else superweapony.

I am not totally against the Idea of playing Dillard at LT, however I think its bit of a waste considering Dillard wont be on the team next year and you paid Mailata LT money where he is great and you have Driscoll who is a good RT....

Alper was suggesting playing Mailata at RT and leaving Dillard at LT.

this is what would be considered the conventional wisdom.

Dillard had been doing well enough at LT.  He really doesn't have the ability, really, to play other than LT.  The Eagles spent a 1st round pick on him to play LT.

Mailata was a off the charts athlete who was a professional rugby player and had never played football before.  he was not trained at all at any position, and physically he  could bring something dominant to a number of positions.

Dillard at LT and Mailata at RT most of the time and superweapon some of the time, with Driscoll at RT when Mailata is doing superweapon.   They could put Dillard at LT,  Driscoll at RT, and Mailata could play one of the 2 guard positions.  I would think that Mailata at guard would help on runs up the middle.

They have Dillard this year.
Dillard can cover the LT position.

I like Mailata the most as superweapon.    Its rare that a LT does something that wins a game for you.  Maybe bad LT play loses a game for you but its rare that good LT play wins a game for you.   There is just a pretty good chance that Mailata could win games for the Eagles in certain situations at a number of positions.  He could be almost impossible to tackle.  A useful attribute.

I agree and Lane is entitled to his privacy but it IS the elephant in the room.  People are naturally curious and the air of mystery around it heightens speculation.

Being curious is one thing, but some people act as though they are entitled to an explanation ... they aren't.

My best guess and it is WILD speculation with no basis in any fact...but, maybe Lane is in rehab.  Opiate issue maybe after his injuries?

That would of come out as a suspension from the league if that was the case.

If Dillard plays well at left tackle this year, it's almost certain that he will be on the team next year.
