I would love to see Seumalo back in 73 and give Dean 56, not that he would want it. I know the rules are different but I just can't get on board with TE/LB with 40s numbers. To me, those are always camp numbers for guys who are going to get cut. 40s should be for hard hitting safeties and fullbacks. Never understood this. Who cares what number they wear. The position group should have certain numbers is gone, not gonna happen anymore.

Hopefully he gets in to a traditional TE number come regular season. The only two I like are Davis and Johnson

If I'm not mistaken, they usually release a full list of rookie camp invites. I wonder who else we might see there. Is there any place to watch these practices? As the tweet said, reporters are only allowed to watch warmups and individual drills. I am sure they will post twitter videos. But you are not going to see any real practice. The position group should have certain numbers is gone, not gonna happen anymore. I posted a while back, probably last year a pretty lengthy post about how much I love the visual aspect of the game of football. Everything from helmet brand/style/facemask to uniform numbers and how the fields are painted. I'm 40 and I feel like I grew up in a great time for football cards from about age 10-15. I would study them, draw them and make sure I knew what numbers guys wore, what gear they wore and so on. Just something I've always been interested in. To me, not having positional number requirements is a college thing. You knew that any non QB or kicker wearing a single digit was probably a stud. A DL wearing anything under 60, probably a great pass rusher. Once you got drafted it was time to graduate to a professional number. The same goes for cleats. Back in the day, the majority of colleges wore black cleats and NFL teams wore white cleats, with the exception of the Bears and the 91 or 92 Eagles. I'm talking 1980s-2000s NFL. Once you got to the NFL, it was time for your white cleats. If I was to picture college football it would be players wearing on position specific numbers wearing black cleats and white spat. I could go on and on.

Blankenship, Covey, Strong, Elliss, and one of the CBs guessing probably Jobe. If I had to trim the list, Id say Elliss starts the year on practice squad. Hes the kind of guy who can probably stick there.

I think Tuioplatusueknwaaow (whatever his irrelevant name is) loses his spot. We are carrying 5 DT's since I see Williams lining up more as a DE this year. So Cox, Hargrave, Davis, Elliss, Williams. One of the CB's probably. I mean they're competing same as McPhearson, Gowan, etc. Covey I don't see. I think Devon Allen has the better chance if they're going with a return specialist. But I'm sure that's a competition there. If I expanded to 4, it's Kennedy Brooks.
