They can still play on Thanksgiving - I don't believe they deserve the competitive advantage of playing at home.

That's part of the tradition.  It's for the FANS to be able to organize their Thanksgiving day around the game and going to the stadium.   They deserve it, because of the history of how it has become a thing that we all look forward to.   The tradition should be continued, unaltered.   Traditions exist for the fans, not the players.   So, having Detroit and Dallas play on the road wouldn't be nearly the same for those fans, and it shouldn't be messed with.

Competitive advantage aside... let the fans have their traditions.

If Thursday games were played after a bye, it would be less of an issue.  Playing on the road/short week ain't ideal.

Week 6 prediction winner goes to @Alphagrand who was one point off on his prediction of an Eagles win, 27-17.

Bonus winners were:

@Alphagrand again, for Eagles get 2+ INT's

@Connecticut Eagle Eagles are 2+ in turnover margin

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! Rush has at least two turnovers

@Fresh_Prince Dallas gets significant referee help (subjective but I'm awarding this for that ridiculous block in the back flag they picked up for no reason)

@GoEagles5921 Hurts less than 200 yards passing

@MillerTime Eagles force 3 turnovers

@RememberTheKoy Eagles become first offense to score at least 2 TD's against Dallas

@Swoop Hurts fumble

Separate issue.  Half the teams in the league have to play on the road for a short week.  Dallas goes on the road Week 17 on Thursday.

Got our gigabit internet hooked up yesterday.

To take better advantage of the internet speeds we are getting, I am going to get an apple TV device for the living room TV.

I noticed my phone was getting over 400mbps down, but my old PC and the living room TV were getting about 45. I figure the newer tech in the apple TV will show me to achieve much faster performance on my TV.

F you @downundermike for alerting me to an apple product I actuality want.

playing 2x on Thursday stinks, but they don't do that most years, right... every year DAL plays at home on Thursday and then enjoys a mini-bye late in the season - while the rest of league aside from DET gets what they get.

What's the deal with the schedulers giving us 3 road games in a row ending with DAL... that shouldn't happen either.

What LTs would you put ahead of Mailata?

Which LGs ahead of Dickerson?

Here's the starting OTs page https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchartpos/OT

Here's the starting OGs page https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchartpos/OG

At LT your options are Tyler Smith (Dallas), Andrew Thomas (NYG), Charles leno (Wash), Braxton Jones (Chi), Taylor Decker (Detroit), David Bahktiari (GB), Christian Darrisaw (Minn), Jake Matthews (Atlanta), Jacob Ekwonu (Carolina), James Hurst (NO), Donnovan Smith (TB), DJ Humphries (Arizona), Joe Noteboom (LA), Trent Williams (SF), Charles Cross (Seattle)

The cupboard is so bare at LG that it isn't worth listing here.  Go to the webpage if you need confirmation of that.

Mailata and Dickerson need to stay healthy.  And Mailata still needs to clean it up against high speed edge rushers.

Im the first to criticize Hurts, but for someone playing behind such a great OL, he’s suffered from quite a few collapsed pockets, which has impacted the deep passing game.

They have struggled with max protect calls.  It seems like they had a max protect call on one of the sacks and there were a lot of mistakes in assignments.  I don't think it was all on the O-line but it needs to get fixed.

They have created a new tradition... the 8 PM Thanksgiving game, and it rotates around.

The tradition of the Thanksgiving games in Detroit and Dallas should be maintained.  Detroit has played a Thanksgiving game since before it was cool.  Let the Detroit fans have that one moment.  It's literally all they have.   And Dallas took the other game when the NFL wanted a second game to showcase on Thanksgiving when no one else wanted it every year.  So, they too have 'earned' it.

I like the tradition of Cowboys eating that sour turkey when they lose.  Gotta ruin the whole dinner 🤣

The challenge will be whether or not the front office/owner is happy with that style.  This team was built to throw the ball... the QB's best trait and the OL's best skill set is running the ball.  But the weapons are in place to throw.   Weird dichotomy.

it'sw kind of nice to have the ability to do both. Run the ball, take away the soul of the defense, and when they load up the box to stop the run, it's nice to have the weapons to go over the top.  We cant make a definitive statement on HUrts until we get into that position- thisyear, and that likely wont happen till very late in the season if not the playoffs.

Another big difference is that I don't believe that Big Ben got the kind of huge salary and bonus money that today's QBs are getting.  If Hurts is willing to sign a team-friendly extension then he can more than likely have a career like Ben's because there will be enough Cap money to keep the other parts of the team operating at a very high level.

Different issue, thats an off the field issue that agreebly is likely to drive where we go... however

Let us not forget we will have 2 - 1st rd picks this offseason.

Maybe we can trade for him to be our PR!

Wow, for an owner to say this...Snyder might actually go. All NFCE owners should vote for him to stay.

I don't understand Irsay's thought process here... Snyder makes him look good in comparison.

Isn’t it pretty well known that most of the owners hate him?

DJax to the Ravens.

Didn't have that on my Bingo Card.
