More like the idiots used the time machine and went back to 2023 and schmidt is doing sundays again

Can’t wait til Bohm is batting cleanup in a playoff game

Really only 2 interesting things left for Phillies fans.

The first is how DD will try to spin and rationalize whatever he does or doesn't do at the deadline. It's not even what actually happens that's interesting. It's the revelation of how much honest insight he'll provide about what went down.

The second is the offseason for baseball. I really think the players will win this one and changes will be ornamental. But "stay the course" versus turn the league upside down and end this awful system will be the only thing worth watching. Everyone outside of LA is rooting for the later, us Phillies fans included. The interesting thing, however, is that as sick as we all are of the Dodgers...the Phillies still benefit from the current landscape far more than it harms them. In a salary cap model where teams need to scout, draft, develop, and run their farm system well...that competitive balance projects the Phillies as one of the worst teams in baseball with how they have handed things for the last 15 years.

As much as I want to see the Dodgers lose, we need them to waltz through the most boring, unchallenged, and poorly rated playoffs and WS in recent history.

If they disappoint, drop a short series, and get eliminated...there's no chance of material changes. Need the owners to be embarrassed into action by a postseason that is a boring progression towards inevitability.

When does the current Baseball Collective Bargaining Agreement end? Dec 1, 2026.

Once again, they will play a game of chicken. Greed on both sides.

Probably gonna lose half the season, if not the whole season.

Economic damage to every city with a team.

Nothing is happening. Not last night. Not this morning. Not later today.

That would have been the get.... Under team control until 2029

Phillies also trade for Mets left handed reliever Brooks Raley. He’s an upgrade from Alvarado. Not a bad pick up.

Just pointing out couldn’t just signed Arraez this past offseason and kept Marquez who was rapidly rising through the organization and not for a rental

So where is Arraez going to play?

Bohm to First, Stott to third, Harper to RF?

How dumb is DD? He could have had Arraez as a free agent prior to the season without giving up a top prospect. Hope Kevin Long doesnt ef him up trying to make him a power hitter.

Raley trade was fine. That arraez trade helps but you literally sold one of your top 5 prospects for a 2 month rental and no offense arraez isn’t changing your fortunes against the dodgers. They need an outfield bat as their OPS is one of the worse in Phillies history.

I don’t know man. It’s hard to get excited about this.
