May 9, 20251 yr Harper is quickly becoming just a guy that has good stretches, and don't be fooled Turner and Marsh will let you down in the end
May 9, 20251 yr it’s the first time the Phillies have scored 7+ runs in 5 consecutive games since 4/16-4/22 of last year (prior to that it was 8/28-9/2/21)

Bryce just looks like a 20-25 homer type of guy which is ok, but not what he is getting paid for.

May 9, 20251 yr I feel bad for the people falling for this phillies run, you will be let down in the end, like George said

May 10, 20251 yr Might as well transition Nola to the bullpen at this point. He cruises along okay for 3-4 innings then serves up gopher balls by the 5th or 6th.

His signing opened the window and was the best thing this era of the franchise ever did.Every team, every sport….when you sign a really good player to a long term contract, part of the negotiations are tagging on years and money that both parties know aren’t going to be cost-effective. Whether those years are a big mistake, look really bad, are worth it for the earlier years but simply cost ineffective…that’s the surprise based on how they age. And the other big question, of course, is when they cross that line of being cost ineffective. The Phillies window has closed because they’ve officially crossed into that range with Bryce and went into that range much earlier than expected in Turner, Nola, Walker.
May 10, 20251 yr If you get this Ranger going forward they really should just deal Nola and get back either an upgrade at 3B or CF or even a legit closer/BP arm. Use the money they save getting off Nola’s contract to sign luzardo and Ranger.
